What is the reason why the eyes look yellow?
1, yellow light reflection

Eyes often see yellow because objects absorb light of other colors and only reflect yellow light. For example, objects that are usually related to yellow in the senses, such as lemon, honey, gold and brass, can reflect this feature. After these objects absorb light of other colors, only yellow light is reflected into our eyes, so we see yellow.

2. The awakening of night vision

In a dark environment, our eyes will increase the amount of retinoic acid that can accept yellow light, so under this condition, we can see yellow more easily and feel yellow brighter, because human eyes have higher perception of yellow than other colors. This is also the reason why street lamps driving at night usually use yellow bulbs. Yellow light is softer, which will reduce eye fatigue and enhance the visual effect.

3. Psychological association effect

People's preference for color is subjective. In many cultures, yellow symbolizes warmth, happiness and friendliness, just as we often say "sunny yellow". Therefore, when we see yellow things in our life, the brain may automatically associate this color with some psychological feelings, thus having a good impression on yellow, so the memory of some yellow objects will be more profound.

4. Color blindness

Seeing yellow in the eyes may also be a sign of color vision defects. When the number, types and properties of human cone cells are not enough to distinguish colors and form color blindness, it is difficult for human eyes to distinguish some colors such as yellow, and they may even not feel the existence of yellow.
