Resume of Yu Pengnian

Mr. Yu Pengnian, also known as Peng Lishan, is from Lantian Town, Lianyuan City, Loudi District, Hunan Province.

1958, Mr. Yu applied to go to Hong Kong from Shanghai. It's not easy to find a job because I'm a stranger, I can't speak English, I don't know Cantonese, and I don't have any background. So I had to start as a handyman and fight the world empty-handed. I deeply realized the difficulty of starting a business and tasted the ups and downs. This situation is still fresh in my memory. Mr Yu has been doing business with Taiwan Province for 50 years. He worked first and then became a boss, mainly engaged in real estate construction and hotel industry. He worked hard and finally became famous. He is quite famous in the industrial and commercial circles in Hong Kong and Taiwan, and eventually became the chairman of a five-star hotel and a famous philanthropist from handyman. These achievements are hard-won.

Yu Pengnian, a native of Hunan, started his business in Hongkong in his early years and eventually became a billionaire in the industrial and commercial circles. Since the 1980s, he has been engaged in charitable donations in the Mainland.

In 2003, he launched the "Bright Action" program to help cataract patients, which will take about five years and cost 500 million yuan to treat cataract patients in Inner Mongolia, Tibet, Gansu, Hunan and Liaoning.

On April 26th, 2005, "2005 Chinese mainland Philanthropists Ranking" was grandly released in the Great Hall of the People. Yu Pengnian ranks second in the list of philanthropists. According to the figures published in the list of philanthropists, Yu Pengnian donated 75 million yuan last year.
