Liao Hua (? -264), whose real name is Chun, was born in Xiangyang Middle Road (now Xiangfan, Hubei). Liao Hua is one of the few people in The Romance of the Three Kingdoms who experienced the whole rise and fall of Wei, Shu and Wu.

It was originally the main book of former general Guan Yu. After Guan Yu's defeat, he pretended to surrender to Wu Dong, then faked his death and returned to Shu with his mother.
