Anne sexton (1928- 1974) is a famous American poetess. 1928 was born in Massachusetts. I was a fashion model when I was in boarding school. When I was 20 years old, Alfred Muller sexton and I eloped to get married in North Carolina, because the marriage age there was 18. They have two children, 1973 divorced. Her first nervous breakdown was in 1954, and her second attack was in 1955. She met Dr. Martin Owen, who became her life's therapist. 1960 published the first poem of her first book of poetry, Halfway to a mental hospital, which is you, Dr. Martin. She has complete confidence in Dr. Martin. In the first psychotherapy, she told him that she could do nothing but be a prostitute. Dr Martin came to tell her that according to his own analysis, he thought sexton was very creative and encouraged her to write. So she signed up for a writing class, and writing became a part of her daily psychotherapy. Not only that, she didn't have much school education, and her works were published in famous magazines such as The New Yorker. Later, the most classic meaning of the so-called confessional school was that confession and psychotherapy were consistent. Among the so-called "confessions", sexton is the only poet who recognizes this name and is considered as the most representative of this school. 1957, she met Snodgrass at a writer's seminar, was encouraged by him and became friends. He stuck a needle in my heart and had a great influence on her. In the same year, she joined several writing groups, got to know maxine kumin, met Hill Via Plath in robert lowell's writing class, became friends, and often drank together (and a boy named George Starbuck was always together). She has lived near Boston for most of her life. 1967 won the Pulitzer Prize for his collection of poems, Life or Death. Known as "completing her poems with her great and profound thoughts still encourages us ... she left a unique voice in American poetry." The main poetry collections are: Halfway to a Mental Hospital (1960); Life or death; Transfiguration (197 1, rewriting part of grimm's fairy tales) and death note (1974).
