In the course of more than 50 years' development, Shenyang Institute of Environmental Science has been problem-oriented, devoted to basic, nurturing, forward-looking and strategic environmental science research and technology development, and persisted in scientific and technological innovation, and has formed six dominant research fields, including environmental planning, river basin water environmental protection, air pollution prevention and control, solid waste treatment and disposal, urban ecological research and environmental risk prevention and control. It has four first-class qualifications, such as environmental impact assessment of construction projects, environmental engineering consulting, environmental engineering design and operation of environmental protection facilities, issued by various ministries and commissions of the country, and has built a scientific research and development base of more than 60,000 square meters, with systematic environmental scientific research and comprehensive service capabilities, which has laid a solid foundation for comprehensive and sustainable development.
Shenyang Academy of Environmental Sciences has four Grade A qualification certificates issued by the state, namely, environmental impact assessment of construction projects, environmental engineering consultation, environmental engineering design and operation of environmental protection facilities. It has undertaken the environmental impact assessment of several large-scale domestic construction projects and the consultation, design and operation of major environmental protection projects and facilities.
With the deepening of China's scientific and technological system reform, Shenyang Institute of Environmental Sciences has been aiming at the domestic environmental demand, keeping track of the world's scientific and technological frontier, and constantly improving its scientific and technological innovation capability. Since the reform and opening up, our institute has undertaken more than 500 national scientific research projects, 863 projects, major scientific and technological projects, scientific and technological support and scientific and technological plans. In the long-term construction and development process, Shenyang Institute of Environmental Sciences has adhered to the principle of combining "going out" with "bringing in" and constantly strengthened international and domestic technical exchanges and cooperation, providing strong technical support for high-tech development, optimizing resource allocation and broadening development space. In recent years, it has carried out extensive project cooperation and personnel exchanges with international institutions such as the World Bank and UNIDO, as well as more than 20 environmental protection organizations, scientific research institutions and companies such as the United States, Britain, Japan and South Korea. We have established strategic cooperative relations with the Ecological Environment Research Center of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Institute of High Energy Physics of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Harbin Institute of Technology, Tianjin Institute of Renewable Resources of China Supply and Marketing Corporation, and established long-term and stable project cooperative relations with many universities and research institutions such as china environmental science Research Institute, Environmental Planning Institute of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, Solid Waste and Chemicals Management Technology Center of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, Shenyang Institute of Applied Ecology of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Tsinghua University, Beijing Normal University and Shandong University.
