The history of Boeing series aircraft
1930, Boeing began to develop all-metal passenger aircraft, namely Boeing 247. This is the beginning of Boeing series aircraft.

1958, Boeing Company produced Boeing 707 aircraft and put it into flight. It uses a turbojet engine, which improves the flight speed and altitude of the aircraft and increases the passenger capacity and range. It is the first generation of jet civil transport aircraft. After the improvement of jet engine technology, turbofan engine with large flow ratio appeared. 1963, Boeing used it as a power plant to produce Boeing 727 aircraft. Its fuel consumption is low, the engine noise is low, and the short-range takeoff and landing performance and economy are good. Boeing 727 belongs to the second generation jet civil transport aircraft. The early production models are 727- 100, 727- 100C, 727- 100QC, etc. , and has been discontinued. At present, there are still 727-200 in production, which is an extended type and can carry up to 189 passengers. There are also improved 727-200 and 727- 100C. The former increases the fuel quantity and range; The latter is both a guest and a cargo. 1967, Boeing Company produced Boeing 737 short-range transport aircraft according to the estimation of short-range route demand. 1968, the first Boeing 747 left the factory, and 1969 carried out flight test and obtained navigation certificate. It is a wide-body long-range passenger plane with four turbofan engines. The seats in the engine room are arranged in two channels. It can carry up to 550 passengers. It belongs to the third generation jet civil transport aircraft with wide fuselage as its main feature. From 65438 to 0978, Boeing Company successively developed Boeing 757 and Boeing 767 series civil transport aircraft with medium carrying capacity and medium range, which were produced and put into flight in the 1980s. They are equipped with two turbofan engines and can carry 200 ~ 300 passengers. 1990, the Boeing 777 aircraft developed by Boeing Company was the largest twin-engine jet aircraft in the history of civil aviation.

On July 8, 2007, Boeing held the off-line ceremony of the 787 Dreamliner at Boeing Headquarters in Seattle. This marks a new stage for Boeing series aircraft.
