Born in Shanghai on May 20th, 1928, ancestral home in Huangyan, Zhejiang. 195 1 graduated from the chemistry department of Tongji university. 195 1- 1956 worked in Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, as an intern researcher and assistant researcher. Since 1956, he has been engaged in scientific research in the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and has served as an assistant researcher, associate researcher, researcher, doctoral supervisor and director of the sixth, seventh and eighth academic committees of the Institute of Chemistry. 198 1 to 1, and was a visiting scholar at the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry of Bonn University, Germany for three times. 1985 July-September Visiting Scholar, Department of Chemistry, McGill University, Canada. 199 1 Elected Academician of China Academy of Sciences.
