In the 11th year of Guangxu, Feng Wei took the provincial examination. Soon after I entered Beijing, I tried, but failed, so I went to South School to study. Appreciated by Weng Tonghe, an important official of the Qing court, he was recommended to the righteous prince of the Qing dynasty. But Feng Ke was not afraid of power and denounced the corruption of the Qing government to his face, so the Qing king didn't need it. Later, under the recommendation of Weng Tong and Feng Weixian, he served as the chief of staff of the government of Cen Chunxuan, Gansu, and then Cen Chunxuan was promoted to the governor of Sichuan, and Feng Wei was recruited as the chief of staff. Soon, Weifeng left home and lived in Guiyang. In his later years, Feng Ke gave lectures at Benben Academy in Guiyang and made a living by painting and calligraphy. In seven years, he died in Guiyang. After his death, his body was transported and buried on an ocean mound fifteen miles outside the south gate of Anshun.
experience
He Weifeng mainly paints phoenixes. He Weifeng 1885 was promoted in the middle term and toured the capital in the north. He was known by Weng Tonghe, the teacher of Emperor Guangxu, for his articles and opinions on the current situation. He communicated with literati writers by painting and calligraphy, and he and Yang Longyou were also called "Northern Dragon and Southern Phoenix". In the 30th year of Guangxu, he was admitted as a scholar and then studied in Japan. After the Republic of China, he became a professor of Tsinghua University and the president of Beijing Women's College, and Huayao painted a phoenix in the name of He Hanbo, saying, "Ivy is in love for three hundred years. I saw talented writers in the countryside, and I talked about emperors in my depression "; "In the heyday, the literati pushed Fengnan, and the poems were beautiful and elegant. Geng Xin's life can be written by himself, and the most desolate place is the most coquettish. " It can be seen that He Weifeng's reputation as "Phoenix in the North and Phoenix in the South" among the literati in the late Qing Dynasty is by no means empty talk.
In the 29th year of Guangxu, Zhao Yijiong of Qingyan, Guiyang, went to Beijing to take the imperial examination, and won the top prize, becoming the first scholar in Guizhou. 1887 On the Mid-Autumn Festival, Empress Dowager Cixi summoned Zhao Yijiong, appointed Zhao Yijiong and Wang Incheon, the former top scholar in Fujian, as "masters of ceremonies" for the wedding of Emperor Guangxu, and presented Zhao Yijiong with a pair of finely carved pure gold ink boxes engraved with the word "Imperial Ceremony" on the spot. In order to thank the Empress Dowager Lafayette for her "great kindness", Zhao Yijiong specially ordered a silk fan in Hangzhou, asked He Weifeng to paint poems, and then returned it to Empress Dowager Cixi. Empress Dowager Cixi is very fond of this silk fan with the title "The willow color is green in the eyes of celebrities, and the peach blossom is red like a beautiful heart". She praised more than once: "Elegant and romantic, unparalleled in the world!"
Weng Tong _, then the minister of the Ministry of Industry and the minister of the Ministry of War, deeply regretted He Weifeng's extremely high learning ability and talent, and recommended him to Prince Yi _ of the Qing Dynasty. It was a hot summer when I went to check. He Weifeng was very unhappy when he saw his sweaty clothes, and could not bear to put them down. He said to Weng Tong, "Those who want to secure the country must accumulate virtue and righteousness. The strong in the country must choose their talents, and those who are mediocre and good will benefit the country. " Weng Tong also recommended to Sichuan Governor Cen Chunxuan. Cen Chunxuan devoted himself to friendship and was hired to Shu, taking He Weifeng as his right-hand man.
He Weifeng returned to his hometown of Anshun in his later years, and still wrote poems and paintings with his literary friends such as Guo Shinong, Feng Yunqing and monk Guangde. He stayed in the monk temple, but he preferred Buddhism. From his inscription in Chongzhen Hall, "Catharanthus roseus is not old; Shi Yannian, Jingle Temple Wenjing Fan performed in Beitian; See "Jinguangpu", the tired monk of Qingtai Temple repents; The dust is temporarily next to the Buddha's cool. ""I am fighting for the empty world; Kun is not old, an arrow ",and Yu Xuan's" Harmony is a small red millet; Idle people seldom talk about white clouds. There are only smoke clouds outside Guanyin Cave. When you realize that the flowers are blooming, it is Buddha. It is not difficult to see that he hates disputes, is indifferent to fame and fortune, and is pure and detached.
Literary achievements
calligraphy
In his early years, He Weifeng studied under Wang Xizhi's On Music, Yi and Luo Shenfu, and later under Yan Zhenqing. Later, the study of inscriptions in Qin, Han, Wei and Jin Dynasties was greatly influenced by Zhang Qianbei and Shimen Fu. His calligraphy is good at regular script, official script and running script, especially at regular script and Li Han couplets. Its regular script is beautiful, powerful and varied, which is quite different from the pavilion style. Li's calligraphy is vigorous and beautiful, full of body and feeling like flying. There is softness in the line, and it is quite strange to use seal script occasionally. He Weifeng official script couplet "Walking on Bishan" collected by Teacher Mu Dao is a masterpiece of calligraphy. On one occasion, Zhao Yijiong, the top scholar, bought a Hangzhou fan for Empress Dowager Cixi and asked He Weifeng to draw a fan. He Weifeng drew a picture of peaches and willows on one side of the fan and wrote seven quatrains on the other side. After winning the fan, Cixi especially appreciated the beautiful couplets with bright eyes and peach blossoms, calling them "elegant and romantic, unparalleled in contemporary times" and liked He Weifeng's paintings and calligraphy very much.

He Weifeng's paintings include animals and plants, but mainly animals. From his paintings, we can see galloping horses, liger, towering peaks and goshawks flying in the sky, and the most praised one is the Phoenix. He Weifeng wrote poems and even painted with Feng in the name of Feng. His paintings are the most important for painting the phoenix, the best for painting the phoenix and the most important for the world. Wind is a legendary bird in ancient China. Feng in the painting shows a feeling of detachment, unconventional and cynicism. In the inaugural issue of Guizhou Literature Quarterly published in 27 years of the Republic of China, there was a photo of a phoenix painted by He Weifeng collected by Ren Kecheng. Phoenix looked up and looked back. Its feet are tall and thin, its claws are upturned and it falls to the ground. It is very powerful, with long feathers, its tail hanging on the ground, its head is like a chicken but not like a chicken, its tail is like a peacock, and its posture is majestic and arrogant. This painting is not only unique in style, but also a portrayal of He Weifeng's life.
Poetry and prose
He Weifeng's poems ranged from 0755 to 79000 in his early years to 0755 to 79000 in his later years. Hua Yao is the most admired poet, on a par with Xu Wei and Yang Longyou. He was praised many times in He Dongge's poem Grass. He Weifeng's poems are sentimental and full of associations, which show his interests, hobbies and ambitions and highlight his personality. For example, in the eighth year of Guangxu, he painted four poems on the Phoenix, two of which wrote: "One song is heartbroken, and the other is sinking moonlight on the embankment. After Danshan went, there was no news, which failed all the wishes of children's painting. " "Every bird pays for its feathers, and nine thousand letters play Dan Yun. Zhu Wu will have a nest day and send a message to see you in Qingluan. " Another example is his horse painting poem: "If there is a horse, it is the best in the world; I don't know. I can write. "

Guo Chunfan, a teacher in He Weifeng, said that it was unfortunate to be born at an untimely time. Longnan Feng and Qin Yu, the master gave different rewards and asked for a job; There is a phoenix at the door, and the door is bright; Feng Feng Feng Xi, I envy you, literary talent, Yin Fei Art Garden; Feng fen
