Hubei Province and Wuhan City held a grand farewell ceremony for recruits at Wuchang Railway Station.

It is reported that the first batch of about 400 recruits, mostly young recruits from Wuhan, Huanggang, Jingzhou, Xianning and other cities, mainly went to a certain unit in Hunan and Guangxi for training.

At the farewell ceremony, provincial and municipal leaders encouraged the recruits to bravely accept the tempering of the military furnace, make contributions to the people and add luster to the military flag. Chen Jie, a post-90s recruit from Wuhan, said, "The four-year university is coming to an end, and I want to go to the military camp to exercise myself."

Major General Chen Damin, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Political Commissar of the Military Region, Major General Zhan Jun, Deputy Commander of the Military Region, Senior Colonel Liu Jianxin, Major General Liu Xiaoda, member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and Commander of the Garrison, and Vice Mayor Qin Jun attended the farewell ceremony.
