Announcement on Issuing National Standard "Technical Specification for Lightning Protection of Building Electronic Information System"
The Technical Specification for Lightning Protection of Building Electronic Information System is now approved as the national standard with the number of GB 50343-20 12, which will be implemented as of 20 12, 12 and 12. Among them, Articles 5. 1.2, 5.2.5, 5.4.2 and 7.3.3 are mandatory and must be strictly implemented. The original Technical Specification for Lightning Protection of Building Electronic Information System (GB 50343-2004) shall be abolished at the same time.
This specification is organized by the Institute of Standards and Specifications of our Ministry and published by China Building Industry Press.

This specification is based on the Notice on Printing and Distributing issued by the former Ministry of Construction (JB [2007] 125), and the Technical Specification for Lightning Protection of Building Electronic Information System (GB 50343-2004) published by China Institute of Building Standards Design and Research and Sichuan Zhongguang High-tech Industry Development Group, which is contained in/WEBARS/BOOK/14095.
This specification is divided into 8 chapters and 6 appendices. The main technical contents include: general principles, terminology, lightning protection zoning, lightning protection classification and lightning stroke risk assessment, lightning protection design, lightning protection construction, inspection and acceptance, maintenance and management.
The main contents of the revision of this specification are:
1. Deleted individual terms that were not used in the original specification, and added terminology explanations needed for a correct understanding of this specification. In addition, the original interpretation of the reservation clause has also been adjusted.
2. According to the requirements of risk management, the content of lightning risk assessment has been added. At the same time, in the appendix, the specific evaluation calculation method of lightning stroke risk assessment according to risk management requirements is added.
3. The lightning protection grade classification of various building electronic information systems in Table 4.3. 1 has been adjusted.
4. The content of Chapter 5 "Lightning Protection Design" has been revised and supplemented.
5. The name of Chapter VII was changed to "Inspection and Acceptance", and the content was adjusted.
6. Add three appendices, namely Appendix B "Lightning Risk Assessment according to Risk Management Requirements", Appendix D "Calculation Method of Lightning Magnetic Field Intensity" and Appendix E "Waveforms and Parameters of Impulse Test for Signal Line Surge Protector". Appendix F Statistical Table of Annual Average Thunderstorm Days of Major Cities in China has been revised according to the latest available data, and only the annual average thunderstorm days of municipalities directly under the central government, provincial capitals and some secondary cities are listed. The original appendix "Acceptance Test Form" was cancelled.
7. Articles 5.2.6 and 5.5.7, paragraph 2 (former article 5.4. 10, paragraph 2) of the Code are no longer mandatory.
The terms marked in bold in this specification are mandatory and must be strictly implemented.
The Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development is responsible for the management of this Code and the interpretation of mandatory provisions. Sichuan Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development is responsible for daily management, while China Institute of Building Standards Design and Research and Sichuan Zhongguang Lightning Protection Technology Co., Ltd. are responsible for the interpretation of specific technical contents. 1.0. 1 This specification is formulated to prevent and reduce the harm of lightning to the electronic information system of buildings and protect people's lives and property.
1.0.2 this specification is applicable to the design, construction, acceptance, maintenance and management of lightning protection for electronic information systems of new buildings, reconstruction and expansion. This specification does not apply to lightning protection of building electronic information system in explosion and fire danger places.
1.0.3 lightning protection of building electronic information system should adhere to the principle of prevention first and safety first.
1.0.4 in the lightning protection design of building electronic information system, comprehensive planning should be made according to the characteristics of building electronic information system and the overall requirements of the project, and external lightning protection measures and internal lightning protection measures should be coordinated and unified, so as to be safe, reliable, technologically advanced and economical.
1.0.5 The building electronic information system should be comprehensively protected by external lightning protection and internal lightning protection measures.
1.0.6 The building electronic information system should take corresponding protective measures according to environmental factors, lightning activity law, lightning protection area where the equipment is located, immunity of the system to lightning electromagnetic pulse, damage degree of lightning accident, importance of system equipment, etc.
1.0.7 the lightning protection of building electronic information system shall conform to the current national standards in addition to this specification.
