The Historical Evolution of Gaozhou Teachers College
In the 19th year of the Republic of China (1930), Maoming County Rural Normal School was established.

In the 20th year of the Republic of China (193 1), it was renamed as Maoming County Normal School.

In the autumn of the 31st year of the Republic of China (1942), Guangdong Gaozhou Women's Normal School was established outside the north gate of Maoming County (now Gaozhou City).

In the thirty-second year of the Republic of China (1943), under the instruction of China, the school established a party branch.

During War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the War of Liberation, the Communist Party of China (CPC) underground party member and teachers and students guerrillas took an active part in the revolutionary movement. Many people (such as Zhou, Zhong Zhengshu, Zheng Guangmin, Liang Deyu, Luo Shuying, etc. ) became the backbone of our party's underground work and revolutionary guerrilla warfare, and made great contributions to the revolutionary cause of China.

1949165438+10, Maoming County Normal School and Guangdong Gaozhou Women's Normal School merged into "Guangdong Gaozhou Normal School";

1970, renamed "Zhanjiang Normal School";

1973, renamed as "Gaozhou Normal School in Zhanjiang, Guangdong" again;

1980 secondary normal school resumed classes, and the school was renamed as "Gaozhou Normal School in Guangdong Province", which is one of the key secondary normal schools in the province 18;

199 1, the school was designated as the China-UNICEF project unit to strengthen teacher training cooperation;

1993, the school tried out the "32-stage" junior college class and became one of the 36 junior high schools in China.

200165438+February, with the approval of Guangdong Provincial People's Government, the school was merged into Maoming College as a secondary college and renamed as "Gaozhou Normal Branch of Maoming College". 20 10 May, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, Maoming College was renamed as "Guangdong Institute of Petrochemical Technology" and the school was named "Gaozhou Normal College of Guangdong Institute of Petrochemical Technology".
