Yangzi Petrochemical Water Plant is located in the battery limit of Nanjing Yangzi Petrochemical Company, overlooking Zijin Mountain, near Baguazhou, adjacent to the chemical plant in the north and the Second Yangtze River Bridge in the south. This plant is an important supporting plant for public works of Yangzi Company, which is responsible for the supply of low-silicon water and the treatment of industrial wastewater and domestic sewage. The whole plant has three sets of production devices, covering an area of 5 1.4 hectares, with fixed assets of 657 million. The water supply device of this factory was built in 1986, and it was the first in China to develop and apply microcomputer-controlled automatic alum adding technology. 1997 expanded the plant, introduced international advanced technologies such as labyrinth sedimentation and V-type filter, and achieved a high degree of automation, with a daily water supply capacity of 660,000 tons. Two sets of sewage treatment devices were built in 1987 and 1989 respectively, with a daily treatment capacity of 80,000 tons. Advanced technologies such as pure oxygen aeration treatment, anaerobic biological treatment, aerobic biological treatment and A/O biofilm method are adopted in the wastewater treatment process of this plant. Among them, pure oxygen aeration technology and equipment are imported from Germany and automatically controlled by microcomputer; Anaerobic biochemical treatment technology of PTA high concentration wastewater obtained national patent. Yangzi Waterworks was established in June of 1987 and June of 10, and now has more than 700 employees, among whom engineers and technicians account for 22%. There are 78 senior technical titles and strong technical force. "Building a first-class water plant" is the long-cherished wish of the factory at the beginning of its establishment. For more than ten years, the employees of the whole factory are determined and persistent. With the enterprise spirit of "preciseness, truth-seeking, unity and dedication", they have continuously strengthened basic management and vigorously promoted technological progress, and realized ten years of safety production without accidents. The water quality has been among the best in the same industry in Nanjing, and the qualified rate of sewage treatment has reached a new level every year. The factory has now become the first environmental education base in Nanjing.
