Researcher, doctoral supervisor. 1985 Graduated from China University of Science and Technology, majoring in geophysics, and assigned to Geophysics Institute of State Seismological Bureau. 1990 obtained the master's degree in seismology in this institute, and 1999 obtained the doctor's degree in seismology. From 2000 to 2002, he went to Lisbon University in Portugal and Edinburgh University in England as a postdoctoral fellow and visiting scholar. He is currently the deputy director of the Second Research Office of China Historical Seismological Committee and the deputy director of Seismological Society.
