Guo Moruo has five children:

The eldest son: Guo Hefu is a chemist of China Academy of Sciences, and was the director of Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics of Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Second son: Guo Bo is an architect and photographer. Before retiring, he was the chief engineer of Shanghai Civil Design Institute.

The third son: Guo (also known as Fosheng), an engineer at the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Daughter: Guo Shuxuan, who later married Lin and gave birth to a female Lin. Lin Cong studied in Japan, became a Japanese citizen by naturalization, and changed his name to Fujita Rinai.
