The scenic spot is located at the junction of eastern Hunan and western Jiangxi, the northern branch of Nanling Mountains and the middle part of Luo Xiao Mountains.
Taijing Expressway, Ji Jing Railway and Jiangxi Provincial Highway 32 1 can be reached directly.
It is about130km away from Jizhou District, downtown Ji 'an, and 35km away from Jinggangshan New Town (Hongxing Street).
It is a mountain-type scenic tourist area integrating human landscape, natural scenery and alpine pastoral.
On July 20 15, at the 39th World Heritage Conference held in Bonn, Germany, UNESCO officially listed Jinggangshan-North Wuyishan (Wuyishan Extension Project) in the World Heritage Protection List.
Historical evolution:
During the Eastern Han Dynasty, Jinggangshan began to be inhabited.
When the Qin Dynasty established the county system, it was the territory of Luling County, Jiujiang County.
In 280 AD, Xichang and Suixing of Luling County were divided and ruled during the Taikang period of the Western Jin Dynasty.
During the reign of Tang Xianqing (658), it was changed to the territory of Jizhou Prefecture in the west of Jiangnan.
Since the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it has successively belonged to Yongxin and Longquan (now Suichuan) in Ji 'an Prefecture, Jiangxi Province.
During the periods of 1927 and 10- 1939, the Hunan-Jiangxi border became an "armed regime of workers and peasants". There is a "(Yong) (Sichuan) border special zone" in Jinggangshan, which is directly under the leadership of workers, peasants and soldiers on the Hunan-Jiangxi border.
1950, "Jinggangshan Special Zone" was established.
1in July, 959, the State Council approved the establishment of Jinggangshan Administration, which was directly led by Jiangxi Provincial People's Committee.
On July 1965 and 1, China issued a set of Jinggangshan special stamps.
1966 —— 1976, Jinggangshan Revolutionary Committee belongs to Ji 'an area.
1977, restoring the "Jinggangshan Administration" under the provincial jurisdiction.
