He is currently the deputy editor of China Media Overseas Report (USA), the editorial board of International Press, China News Yearbook and Journalism Practice. Professor Wu Fei engaged in the teaching and research of editing science in his early years, and wrote A Course of News Editing (Higher Education Press), which is the most theoretical work in editing science and has been designated as the teaching material of editing science by many universities. In 2003, he received a doctorate in media law from Fudan University. He is the author of Mass Communication Law (Zhejiang University Press, 2004) and Compromise and Balance-A Study of Western Communication Law (Communication University of China Press). He is one of the media scholars who have studied media law deeply and achieved many results in China. After graduating from Ph.D., he entered the Institute of Sociology of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences to engage in postdoctoral research and sociology of communication. His achievement is "Fire Pond, Church and Television: A Study on the Social Communication Network of a Minority Community" (Nanfang Daily Publishing House). He is the second scholar in China who introduced ethnographic research into communication studies and achieved good scientific research results (the first is Professor Guo Jianbin of Yunnan University, the younger brother of the professor, and they are all disciples of Professor Zhang). After leaving his post as a postdoctoral fellow, Professor Wu Fei went to the University of Wisconsin as a senior visiting scholar, mainly studying communication anthropology. His book "Mass Media Economics" is listed as a reference book for doctoral examination of journalism and communication in Fudan University, and a course of journalism and editing, communication, culture and society, and the theory of mass communication law are listed as reference books for postgraduate entrance examinations in many universities. "Fire Pond, Church and Television: Social Network Communication in a Minority Community" won the first prize of philosophy and social sciences in Zhejiang Province on 20 10, which became a historic breakthrough for news communication in Zhejiang Province to win this honor. Research on Journalism Professionalism, published by Renmin University of China Press in May 2009, is a series of textbooks for graduate students of journalism and communication in 2 1 century. This book systematically expounds the western journalistic professionalism theory, and combs the famous journalists who have pursued journalistic professionalism since modern times in China. This book is the representative work of Chinese mainland's research on journalistic professionalism.

Professor Wu Fei has published nearly 70 papers in top academic journals in China, such as Sociological Studies, Journalism and Communication Studies, International Journalism, Contemporary Communication, Journalism University, Journalists, Journal of Zhejiang University and Journal of China Renmin University. Nearly 60 papers were collected by CSSCI, and many were collected by Xinhua Digest and China Social Science Digest. He has presided over five key projects at or above the provincial and ministerial level, and is currently presiding over the major research project of the Ministry of Education, "Research on the Theory, Practice and Trend of International Communication", introducing communication into the level of national governance.

Professor Wu Fei has been conducting interdisciplinary research and has opened up a vast world of communication. Academic footprint covers editing, media economics, media law, media and society, media and anthropology, journalism professionalism, international communication and other fields. It is one of the few communication scholars in China who have widely covered many disciplines and achieved fruitful results.
