The Western Jin Dynasty was called "Taoxi", and it was called "Zhang Zhu" only after the Southern Song Dynasty. Zhang Zhu Commune was founded in 1959+ 10, and it was changed to Zhang Zhu Town in May. The original Mingling Town 1949 was Mingling Township, 1959 was changed to Commune, and 1983 was changed to Township. 1996, with an area of 64 square kilometers and a population of10.4 million, governs 9 administrative villages, namely Xia Ling, Kong Li, Changgang, Tea Farm, Baishan, Pingyuan, Longchi, Shengzhuang and Taohua. In 2000, the town was established and merged into Zhang Zhu Town in 2004.
