Wang Rengong, a real person, was an official in Tianshui County and a famous soldier in Sui Dynasty.

Wang Rengong's grandfather, Wang Jianwei, was the secretariat of Fengzhou in the Northern Zhou Dynasty, while his father, Wang Mangzhou, was the secretariat.
