The establishment of Fudan High School has many origins with Fudan University. 1905, the Jesuits sent a French missionary, Nan, as the general teacher, in an attempt to seize the management right of Sinian College, a missionary school founded by Ma, and highlighted French in teaching, changing school policies and regulations, which caused dissatisfaction among China students. Except for two students, 130 students signed out of school, supported the original prison to set up a new school, and publicized Ye Zhongyu and Ye Zhongyu publicly. On June 29th (May 27th, 31st year of Guangxu reign), The Times published an advertisement, announcing the dissolution of Zhendan College and renaming it Fudan College. Twenty-eight people, including Yan Fu, Zhang Jian and Xiong Xiling, were invited to serve as school directors to raise funds to start the school. Soon, Governor Zhou Fu of Liangjiang allocated silver 1000 Liang to use the Wusong magistrate yamen as a temporary school building. In that year's Mid-Autumn Festival (13 September), Fudan University officially opened. It's for the former Fudan University.

1949, the Kuomintang was defeated in the civil war and moved to Taiwan Province. At the initial stage of moving to Taiwan, due to the intention of attacking the mainland, all other military colleges and universities were forbidden to reopen enrollment in Taiwan Province in the name of "resuming their studies" except those that moved to Taiwan Province Province before the government. Until 1954, the "counterattack against the mainland" was far away, and the society in Taiwan Province Province was still in short supply of talents. The original schools in Chinese mainland opened one after another before they resumed in Taiwan Province. Taiwan Province Alumni Association of Fudan University also intends to resume school, but due to financial resources and policies, it can only resume the middle school department. 1957, acquired land in eight cemeteries for about three and a half years as the school foundation, and organized the board of directors of Fudan Middle School in the following year, with Mr. Yu Youren as honorary chairman, Wu Nanxuan and Cheng as honorary directors, Wen Chongxin, Lin Jiyong, Yu Jingtang, Xu Shaodi, Zhao Juyu, Cheng Cangbo, Wang Yong, Chen Baotai and Xu Maozhi.
