Li Yong is the son of Li Bao who came from Shaanxi to work in Xinjiang (75 years old, left home in his teens and now lives in Beijing), and Bao Li is the son of Li Shude in Jiali Village, Xiyang Town, Sanyuan County, Shaanxi Province. Li Yong's grandparents (grandpa died in 1992 and grandma died in 1993) and great-grandparents settled in Jiali village, Xiyang town, Sanyuan county, Shaanxi province, but Li Yong was born in Xinjiang.
