Chen Jinqiang was born in Medan, Indonesia, and his ancestral home is Longyan, Fujian. His father, Mr. Chen Zhuorui, is a famous overseas Chinese leader in Indonesia. /kloc-in the 1960s, he accompanied his father back to China to attend the National Day ceremony, and then the whole family settled in Beijing and entered the overseas Chinese cram school in Beijing. 1972 went to study in the Department of Civil Engineering, Taiyuan University of Technology, Shanxi Province. 1975 settled in Hong Kong after graduation. He is currently the owner of Yiyuan Winery, the chairman of Hua Wei Group (HK) Co., Ltd. and the vice chairman of INDOFERRO.

Mr. Chen Jinqiang cares about society and overseas Chinese. He used to be a member of the 7th CPPCC in Fujian Province, a member of the 8th to 10th CPPCC Standing Committee, a former president of the Association of Villagers in West Fujian, a former president of the Association of Villagers in Longyan, the fifth president of the Hong Kong-Fujian Hope Project Foundation, and a director of the Provincial CPPCC Association in Hong Kong. He is currently a member of the Standing Committee of China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, vice chairman of Beijing Chinese College, honorary director of Fujian Overseas Chinese University, executive director and honorary president of Hong Kong Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, honorary president of Hong Kong Overseas Chinese Association, honorary president of Hong Kong Aiqun Association, consultant of China Overseas Friendship Association, honorary president of Hong Kong Beijing Overseas Chinese Association and director of Fujian, Hong Kong and Macao Economic Cooperation Promotion Committee.
