Chen Dong, male, Han nationality, born in Zhengzhou, Henan Province, born in Luoyang, Henan Province, party member, undergraduate, studying for a master's degree in engineering at Xi Jiaotong University. /kloc-0 was born in February 1978,/kloc-0 joined the army in August 1997, and/kloc-0 joined the party in April 1999. Now he is a third-class astronaut of China People's Liberation Army Astronaut Brigade, with the rank of Colonel.

At 20161017 at 7: 30, the Shenzhou XI manned spacecraft was successfully launched from Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. The flight crew consists of astronauts Jing Haipeng and Chen Dong, with Jing Haipeng as the commander. This is Chen Dong's first manned flight.
