Resume of Wang Xiyuan
Director: In 2023, the online education industry suffered a sudden blow. Many small and medium-sized online education institutions have closed down, and Internet factories have also been affected.

There used to be a lot of scenery, but now it's sad. What should the faculty and staff of the big factory do? This article focuses on educators from big manufacturers and recommends interested partners to read it.

In 2023, the once brilliant online education industry came to an abrupt end, small and medium-sized online education institutions closed down one after another, and Internet giants also contracted related businesses.

For a time, many online educators were laid off.

For many people, online education is an internet industry, and its remuneration is significantly higher than that of the traditional education industry.

According to media reports, an online education institution paid lecturers of recent graduates an annual salary of 34 million yuan, and some lecturers even earned as much as 600,000 yuan.

There used to be a lot of scenery, but now it's so sad.

In the eyes of many recruitment companies, the online education industry has a virtual salary, and the employees are also "inflated" and not practical.

As a result, many online education practitioners have encountered difficulties in finding jobs, and some job seekers have bluntly said that they have been "discriminated against".

Recently, the educational teacher of Time Weekly interviewed a number of online education employees who were laid off. After encountering barriers in job hunting, some people lowered their salary standards and stayed in the education industry. Some people have broadened their career choices, moved to other cities and finally found new jobs; Some people don't want to leave the network circle, and their job search is not smooth. They are going to try their luck next year.

It's hard to find a job, but life goes on.

The fast-growing Internet industry is changing every day, and new businesses are mushrooming. Some of them catch the wind and catch the shadows, and some of them end up miserable after the wind blows. In the meantime, the cold and warm air may only be known to the internet people who are in it.

First, leaving the online education platform of "You were eliminated", Mao Xinrui didn't expect the job search to be so blocked.

Mao Xinrui, a 27-year-old from a third-tier city in Shandong Province, feels that the level of economic development in her hometown is not high. After graduating from college, she came to Shanghai through a friend's introduction, worked in an English education company, and then transferred to Nanjing branch.

After two years of experience accumulation, Mao Xinrui entered the online education department of an Internet giant and engaged in community operation.

Unlike many employees who complain about the serious overtime work of big Internet companies, Mao Xinrui feels that her working hours are OK, and the benefits provided by the company also satisfy her.

But this job was only done for one year and one month, and Mao Xinrui was laid off by the company.

In July 2023, the "double drop" policy was introduced, and the short-term business line of Mao Xinrui's company was laid off for 10 months, and the long-term business line employees were also notified of layoffs.

10 ends, and it's Bogor Core's turn.

Considering the market environment, Mao Xinrui does not intend to continue to engage in education, but still hopes to develop in the Internet industry.

She submitted resumes to many internet companies and participated in interviews with many companies, but she failed to enter the company and was "discriminated".

"Many people read my work experience and said,' You have been eliminated' and' Your previous education industry is expanding', which is shocking.

"It is uncomfortable for HR and department heads of some companies to say this directly.

"

Many laid-off educators have flooded into the recruitment market, employers have more choices, and recruiters seem to have more abilities.

Comparing a recruiter with his own work experience, it is a "waste of time" to evaluate Mao Sen Core's past work experience.

"After the interview, I want to find out. I won't go whether the other party makes an offer or not.

"Mao Rui said angrily.

She has met many interviewers with such poor communication attitude. Some HR said frankly, "Our salary will be lower than you think."

Because he wants to stay in Nanjing for development, Mao Xinrui has been looking for suitable job opportunities. She has expanded the field of job hunting, and industries such as live broadcast and short video are all within her consideration.

Internet companies work hard and need to work overtime until late at night. Most companies haven't reached the weekend yet, but Mao Xin has no choice but to try.

Every interview, Mao Xin Core will eventually receive an invitation from an operation representative of a home Internet company. After a few days of practical work, she found that the company worked overtime very hard and the commuting time was too long. After consideration, she decided to resign.

In Nanjing, Mao Xinrui has few opportunities to engage in user/community operation positions, and her previous background as a big factory failed to give her "extra points".

After New Year's Day, Mao Xinrui returned to her hometown in Shandong. She decided to continue looking for a job in Nanjing after the New Year.

"I have considered the examiner before. This' single-plank bridge' is too narrow. I may not be very good at it.

"I want to apply for a competitive unit, and I want to study more. I hope to take this opportunity to re-select vocational courses and find a job that I am satisfied with. " Mao Xinrui said.

"

Second, like Mao Xinrui, who can't sleep at night, Zhao Jiaqi was "discriminated" by the employer in the process of job hunting.

She found that the job details of several companies all said that they would not accept candidates from the "teaching and training industry".

Zhao Jiaqi 1995 came from Chengde, Hebei Province. After graduation, she chose to work and live in Beijing, which is close to home.

Because she didn't want to do financial work suitable for her major, she entered the education industry with strong development momentum and high salary at that time after graduation.

Zhao Jiaqi's first job was as a "head teacher" in a large education company. She is not in charge of teaching, but she has to communicate with nearly 200 parents by phone and send WeChat, to learn about the students' learning situation one by one, and to undertake the task of handing over classes.

Usually she works from 10: 30 in the morning to 9: 00 in the evening. The company implements a week of large and small. If the renewal fee cannot be met, she needs to stay in the company for two days at the weekend to "invoice" without overtime pay.

Zhao Jiaqi said with a smile that she has "phone phobia".

The salary is high and the relationship with colleagues is good. But more than a year later, Zhao Jiaqi resigned and chose to be a "class teacher" in an online education company.

Zhao Jiaqi is very satisfied with her new job. At first, she implemented flexible working system and didn't work overtime. Later, due to the change of leadership, her work content was the same as before, and there were more and more overtime days.

When Zhao Jiaqi turned a new page, online education ushered in a wave of layoffs.

She was laid off before the probation period of the new company and failed to get compensation from the company.

"My colleagues and I applied for labor arbitration, but the settlement was reached. The company paid us half a month's salary and paid the social insurance for that month.

Zhao Jiaqi said, "I was suddenly fired. I haven't found my next job yet, and my savings are rarely spent. The cost of living in Beijing is also high.

At that time, I had to follow up the arbitration while looking for a job. I'm so upset that I can't sleep at night.

"

After reading the requirements of some "uneducated" companies, Zhao Jiaqi said it was understandable.

"They may think that the salary of online education is virtual, but we impose the course on their parents and urge them to continue to pay.

However, although updating fees is our goal, many of us hold initial jobs in education. I hope that children can really learn knowledge and make continuous progress. We also serve seriously. Besides, I don't think other work can't be done. Sure enough, the head teacher is also under great pressure.

"

Past work experience comes from the education industry, and it is not easy to change jobs. Zhao Jiaqi chose continuing education.

After retiring for more than a month, she successfully entered a small study abroad institution to be responsible for user operations.

The salary is low and the workload is heavy, but there is no need to work overtime on weekends.

"Any job has good and bad. Please be satisfied and enjoy.

"Zhao Jiaqi said.

Third, "Education is worthless" Wang Xiyao, who lost her job in this wave of online education layoffs, made her feel that her education was worthless.

In May 2020, Wang Xiyao returned from studying in Britain. In 2023, he entered the online education department of an Internet giant in Beijing through spring recruitment.

Working in a big factory is not easy. The company has to work more than 10 hours every day, and often replies to work messages at night 1 1.

Later, the company changed to double break, but soon, Wang Xiyao encountered a wave of layoffs.

With excellent academic qualifications, she was born in a big company, but Wang Luyao didn't find a new job in time after she left her job. Four months' work experience has become a shortcoming of her job search.

"In the process of looking for a job, I was directly brushed down because of my inexperience, and I didn't have a chance to interview. Some human resources looked at me as a big factory, picked up my resume and told me a word to temper his performance, but in fact, the other party would think that I didn't want to be hired.

"Wang Xiyao said.

The right unit can't get the quotation, and the unit that can get the quotation is not suitable.

Wang Luyao said that she had participated in an interview, and the content of the interview was completely inconsistent with her job position. She was dissatisfied with the similar behavior of some companies and thought it wasted her a lot of time.

After countless failures, Wang Xiyao attributed the reason to lack of work experience.

"I can understand that the boss wants to call ready-made employees, but in fact, I am no different from recruiting new people in the school. But I can only participate in the recruitment of the company and compete with people with work experience. It's hard to tell the truth.

Wang Xiyao said: "Many jobs pay more attention to practice and internship experience than academic experience and academic qualifications. Compared with the academic qualifications of famous universities, internships with large and medium-sized companies are more competitive.

"

In the days of unemployment, Wang Xiyao expressed his frustration on the Internet and got help and encouragement from many strangers.

At the suggestion of netizens, she broadened her career choices, interviewed more than 30 companies in two months, participated in nearly 100 interviews, and finally successfully entered an online travel company in Shanghai, from "North drift" to "Shanghai drift".

Because her home is in Jiangsu, Wang Xiyao's parents don't agree that she is alone in Beijing, so she changed her job and came to Shanghai to get the support of her family.

She feels that she is more interested in the content of her new job and has more room for growth.

Wang Lu, who has experienced this wave of layoffs, must first not give up and have a good attitude. Secondly, he must study and enrich himself. He can't waste time on negative emotions. The most important thing is to expand his job search ideas and set no limits.

"I hope I can help my friend find a job.

"Wang Xiyao said.

(At the request of the interviewee, Mao Xinrui, Zhao Jiaqi and Wang Xiyao are all pseudonyms. )
