My ancestral home is Hubei. Originated from the surname Ji, from the Chu State of Zhou Dynasty, belonging to the surname Juyi. According to historical records that trace the origin of surnames, in the Western Zhou Dynasty, there was a place called Chu (now Luoyang, Henan). In the history book Zuo Zhuan, it is more clearly mentioned that there is a Chu Pavilion in the south of Luoyang County, and in the history book The History of the Later Han Dynasty, there is also a Chu Canal in Luoyang. Both books admit that Zhou has a Chu land, and people who live there think it is a surname.
