(Graduate School of China Academy of Sciences)
Academician Huang, an outstanding master of geological science, has been away from us for 15 years, but his great achievements will be recorded in the history of science forever, and his voice and smile will remain in our hearts forever.
Mr. Qing Ji was born in a small landlord family, and he has a scholarly family for generations. Young, smart, studious, and the results are among the best. Moreover, he is advanced in thinking and can keep pace with the times. While studying in Chengdu Sichuan Provincial United Middle School, Tianjin Beiyang University Preparatory Course and Peking University Geology Department, I actively participated in students' patriotic and progressive activities. He works very hard at his studies. During his seven years of college life in Tianjin and Beijing, he never went home once. On the one hand, because his family was far away in Sichuan, the traffic conditions were poor at that time. On the other hand, he devoted himself to his research.
During his study in Peking University Geology Department, Huang got excellent grades. 1927, in the third grade, he published the article "Cambrian Ordovician in Beijing Xishan" in Journal of geological society of china (English version) and won the "Excellent Paper Award" (140 Ocean). 1928, on the eve of graduation, he and his classmates went to Beipiao and other places in Jehol Province to investigate geology with Weng, director of the Geological Survey Institute of the Ministry of Agriculture and Commerce. His field records are illustrated, showing his unique skills and winning Weng's favor. In the summer of the same year, after graduation, he was admitted to the Geological Survey Institute of the Ministry of Agriculture and Mines (the Institute was under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Agriculture and Mines of Nanjing National Government after the Northern Expedition of the National Revolutionary Army captured Beiping that summer). Weng Wenhao arranged for him to work side by side with the secretary in his big office as a "trainee" who has not yet become a full member. This is an unprecedented courtesy. That Weng really likes yellow. Later, it turned out that his "Bole" was really powerful. Huang spent one or two years investigating the geology of the northeast coalfield, especially the southwest geological survey with Ding Wenjiang, and wrote and published six monographs on paleontology, stratigraphy and regional geology in two years. He is a rookie, sharp-edged, brilliant, favored and valued by Ding Wenjiang and Weng Wenhao, and is looking for a successor. 193 1 may, Weng went to Nanjing to attend the eighth annual meeting of geological society of china, and specially took Huang to see the stormy world. 1932 Weng directed and recommended him to study in Switzerland. 1933, Ding Wenjiang went to Europe after attending the 16 international geological congress in the United States, especially met with Huang in Geneva, and told him that Charles Schuchert, a professor at Yale University and an authority on Permian paleostratigraphy in the United States, used the Permian division scheme of Huang and China when describing the Permian stratigraphic correlation in the world at the 16 international geological congress, which also made him feel very honored. When he left, Ding also said to Huang earnestly, "You are still young and have a bright future. We have infinite hope for you. My Brownton compass has been used for decades and is very old. I'll give it to you as a souvenir! " Huang was very moved.
Huang Yu 1935 received his Ph.D. in Geology from Danxiatai University in Switzerland and traveled to Europe and the United States. He returned to the motherland in June 1936 with full harvest and honor, only to learn that Mr. Ding Wenjiang died in Changsha at the beginning of the month, and he could not help crying. After reporting to Weng Wenhao, then director of the Geological Survey Institute of the Ministry of Industry, Weng was filled with joy. That year, he was appointed as the geological director of the institute, and within a year or two he was promoted to deputy director, acting director and director. Weng 1937 wrote to Hu Shi on March 22nd, saying, "Yi Wei's brother ... entrusted Huang Jun with geological affairs, which means that you (that is, Ding Wenjiang) and your brother jointly selected him as his successor". At that time, Weng was surrounded by talented people, not only Huang Xuechang, a 30-to 40-year-old geological department of Peking University, but also a 40-year-old "veteran" who graduated from the Institute of Geology of the Ministry of Agriculture and Commerce, while Weng gradually handed over his work to Huang, who had just returned from studying abroad and was only 30 or 23 years old. This amazing move naturally makes the whole geological colleagues sincerely admire Huang's genius, and of course a few people may be jealous. However, Ding Wenjiang and Weng's actions of appointing people on their merits, not engaging in seniority, and boldly promoting young elites have been proved by history to be completely correct and extremely wise.
Huang didn't live up to the teacher's trust, respect and the expectations of all his colleagues. He respected the old and loved the young, which made the geological survey prosperous and became the outstanding second generation of geological science in China. Later, he resigned as the director, devoted himself to field investigation and scientific research, and made brilliant achievements in basic geology and applied geology. In paleontology, stratigraphy and geo-history, he established the basis for the division and correlation of Permian biostratigraphy in China, and has the reputation of "Yellow Permian". In regional geology and tectonic geology, he initiated the compilation of geological maps of China. In the 1940s, he presided over the compilation of114 international geological map of China and1/30,000 full geological map of China. In the early 1960s, he led the compilation of1110,000 national geological maps (geological maps, tectonic maps, metallogenic regularity maps) with international scales. He was also the founder of China's historical tectonics, founded and developed the theory of multicycle tectonic movement, and became a representative figure of one of the five major schools of geotectonics in China. In applied geology, such as deposit geology, he developed and applied continental oil generation theory and multi-cycle metallogenic theory to guide the general survey and exploration of oil, natural gas and other important mineral resources. In addition, he made some contributions to Quaternary geology, geomorphology, glaciology and the history of geological science. After the founding of New China, he successively served as director of Southwest Geological Survey, director of Southwest Geological Bureau, member of the Standing Committee of National Mineral Survey Committee, chief engineer of Petroleum Geology Bureau of Ministry of Geology, deputy director of Institute of Geology and Mineral Resources of Ministry of Geology and director of geotectonic research office, deputy director of Institute of Geological Sciences of Ministry of Geology, vice president and honorary president of Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences.
1948 Huang was elected as the first academician of Academia Sinica, the youngest of the six academicians in the field of geology (44 years old). From 65438 to 0955, he was elected as the first academician of China Academy of Sciences, and served as the deputy director of Geology Department of China Academy of Sciences for a long time. In his early years, he served as the chairman of geological society of china, and in the early days of reform and opening up, he was elected as the 32nd chairman of the Society with 1979, once again shouldering the heavy responsibility of comprehensively leading the cause of geological science in China. He led a delegation to attend the 26th International Geological Congress held in Paris and the 27th-29th International Geological Congress held in Moscow, Washington and Tokyo.
He has won the first prize of National Natural Science Award, Chen Jiageng Earth Science Award and ho leung ho lee foundation Science and Technology Excellence Award. Internationally, he was awarded honorary membership of American Geological Society, honorary doctor of Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich, and foreign academician of Soviet Academy of Sciences.
I have heard the name of Mr. Huang since middle school, when he was the director of Southwest Geological Bureau and the president of Chongqing Geological School. Several senior students from Chongqing No.1 Middle School were admitted to local schools in Chongqing, and went back to their alma mater to talk about their headmaster, Huang, a famous geologist. I also heard from my second mother (who is also my aunt) Liu Zunyi (a professor at Southwest Normal University) that Mr. Huang and his mother are classmates of Peking University, and they also advocate the activities of Peking University reunion. He and Mr. Qing Ji's eldest son Haosheng are classmates and friends of Ruying Primary School. While they were playing together, Haosheng suddenly suffered from acute appendicitis, but he still believed that he really took him home and sent him to the hospital for treatment. He also said that his sister Zezhi and Haosheng's sister Jason were classmates and good friends of Ruying Primary School.
From 65438 to 0957, when I was admitted to the Department of Geology and Geography of Peking University, I often heard about Mr. Huang. At first, there were two main impressions: some people said that he was arrogant and difficult to approach; Others said that he was almost beaten and protected as a rightist, but he was also criticized and impacted. In that era of "politics first", although he was a great scientist, he could not eat at all. And I was criticized as a "white model" in the "red debate", which was very depressing. So, I didn't expect to see Mr. Huang again.
1963 On the eve of my graduation from university, I applied for the postgraduate degree of Academician Yang, director of the Institute of vertebrate paleontology and Paleoanthropology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Although I got excellent grades, Lao Yang heard many complaints from organizations and people in Peking University about my "typical white major", so he publicly said, "Pan Yuntang got the best grade in the exam, but unfortunately I just didn't want it." This is undoubtedly a heavy blow to me, and my hope of staying in Beijing is bound to fail. I want to make one last attempt and seek solace and compensation from other places. One afternoon that summer. I took the liberty of visiting Mr. Huang in the dormitory of the Institute of Geological Sciences, Ministry of Geology, Baiwanzhuang. After introducing myself, on behalf of Zezhi's sister and Xinxin's brother, I was greeted by Jie Sheng's sister and Hao Sheng's brother and told them their contact information. Mr. Qing Ji and his wife, Ms. Chen Chuanjun, were very warm and kind to me after learning about my identity and relationship. And let me have dinner together and talk about the decades-old friendship between the two families. It really hits it off.
Mr Qing Ji fondly recalled the friendship with his parents: "Your mother and I were classmates in Peking University in the 1920s. Although we are not in the same department, we often participate in progressive gatherings and take to the streets to demonstrate together. Your mother is not afraid of violence and dares to fight with military police. She is a hero among women ... Your father was my old boss in War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression. He is the executive vice minister of the Ministry of Economic Affairs. I am the director of the Central Geological Survey of the Ministry of Economic Affairs. Although he has a high position, he is very approachable and sympathetic to his subordinates. According to the regulations, I report to the Ministry once every two weeks. When your father sees me, he always greets me warmly, shakes hands kindly, sits down to listen to my statement carefully, then studies his work seriously, and sometimes chats with his family happily. Occasionally meet an emergency in the office, go to the Ministry. When Minister Weng Wenhao was away, I found your father. He is not familiar with geological business, but he fully respects our opinions. He didn't bargain with us when we made some demands. Seeing that we are right, he will sign, stamp and go through all kinds of formalities for us, so that we can get money and things in time and solve our problems. Later, they asked me about my personal situation, especially my political performance, my business class and my mastery of foreign language tools. They are very friendly and considerate. From then on, I called them "Uncle Huang" and "Aunt Huang".
The unexpected success of this sudden visit is really a great comfort to me who is incompetent, poor and frustrated under the extreme "Left" situation. I regret that I didn't understand the story of the development history of geological science, so that I chose the wrong major and voted for the wrong person. At Mr. Yang's place, I received a cold reception and bad luck, as if I was at my wit's end. However, to my great surprise, I had a "short encounter" with my uncle Qing Ji. As soon as I got back to school, I wrote a sincere letter to Uncle Qing Ji. The letter copied the words in the article "Remembering Marx" by the German revolutionary William Liebknecht: "I am extremely lucky. As an inexperienced and curious young man, I can get to know Marx by chance and get his teaching. I just changed' Marx' and' He' to' Sir'. " A few days later, I received his reply, which encouraged me very much, especially when I met my teacher Mr. Lawson recently and talked about my situation, which showed his concern for me. At that time, after graduation, I didn't start my own business and have the freedom to choose a job as I do today, but forced orders and hard distribution. After failing in the postgraduate entrance examination, I was assigned to the Southwest Institute of Geological Sciences, Chengdu Geology Department, Sichuan Province. Before I left, my brother and I visited Uncle Huang. He said, "You study geology and paleontology. Southwest China and Sichuan are both good places. It is still very promising for you to go back to your hometown and do a good job. " After I arrived in Chengdu, I also wrote a letter to Mr. and Mrs. Qing Ji, reporting the situation at that time.
At the beginning of the "Four Clean-ups" and the "Cultural Revolution", I was the object of the "Black Five", and I broke off contact with my old uncle Qing Ji's family. I also heard that my uncle Qing Ji was badly hit at the beginning of the "Cultural Revolution" and I was very worried about him. After 197 1 Lin Biao blew itself up, things got better and we started to resume business. I also heard that Mr. and Mrs. Qing Ji's old uncles returned to Beijing from the May 7th ultra-leftwing in Jiangxi, and I am very happy for them.
1974, I went on a business trip to Sichuan Volume of Southwest Paleontology Atlas compiled by Beijing Institute of Geological Sciences, and visited my old uncle's home in Qing Ji. Their home was compressed from the original suite to a single room, which was very crowded. However, they are still very calm and happy. Uncle Qing Ji has just resumed his work and devoted himself to scientific research. During 1975, I was in Nanjing on business. I listened to uncle Qing Ji's report to young scientific and technological personnel in Nanjing Institute of Geology and Paleontology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and went to the hotel where uncle Qing Ji stayed. Aunt chuan jun is also there.
After the "Cultural Revolution", the spring breeze of reform and opening-up blew the land of China green. The postgraduate system was restored on 1978. I entered the graduate program of Mr. Yin Zanxun, Institute of Geology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and won the first place in the initial test. I came to Beijing for a second interview. After the second interview, I went on a business trip in Beijing to do some public welfare things, and waited on my mother who was recovering from bladder cancer surgery in Friendship Hospital with Sister Zezhi. According to my sister, when my mother first moved into Friendship Hospital, both Mr. and Mrs. Qing Ji went to the hospital. Uncle Qing Ji also specially invited his old friend, the president of the hospital and the academician of China Academy of Sciences, Professor Zhong Huilan, to take care of him. In addition, my mother's old friend, Mother Deng (Deng), invited Professor Wu Jieping, the head of the former Premier's medical team (later an academician of the two academies and former vice chairman of the National People's Congress), to attend the consultation, so my mother's handicraft and recovery were very smooth. After a while, Sister Ze Zhijie and Brother Ze Ren and I visited the old uncle Qing Ji's new residence at Gate 2, Building 6, Nanshagou, Sanlihe River, and watched them move from a cramped hut to a luxurious suite with a back garden. I am deeply pleased with the implementation of the Party's intellectual policy.
Later, Mr. Yan Jici, vice president of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and dean of the graduate school, said that the graduate school should set up teaching classes to train qualified students to become future teachers of the graduate school, so the Institute of Geology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences recruited me into the teaching classes of the graduate school in a high profile. /kloc-After reporting to Beijing in October, I went to my uncle Qing Ji's house. From then until his death, he became a frequent visitor to their home and had a very close relationship.
1979 at the beginning, my old uncle Qing Ji told me that he had published many works for most of his life, and all the property buyers were lost during the Cultural Revolution. I hope that when I have time to look up documents in the library in the future, I will gradually sort out the catalogue of his works. I gladly accepted the task. I also made 300 or 400 work cards of Uncle Qing Ji when I was working in combination with my graduate project and searching for documents in libraries and archives. I copied another set of one's works, both published and printed internally, and sent them to his home together with a card box. He is very happy. After the review, I provided new clues. I went to find it again. After repeated deliberation, I finally compiled a catalogue of his works.
One day, Old Uncle Qing Ji called me to his house and told me that many units and departments were fighting for biographies of scientists at that time, so I took time to listen to his dictation, took notes and arranged it. We spent the whole day doing it on Sunday. After I sorted out his manuscript, I gave it to him for review and revision. Later, it was first published in the Dictionary of China Scientists edited by Xu Zhichun, a professor at Beijing Language Institute, and published by Shandong Science and Technology Publishing House. I deeply realized his excellent qualities from compiling his biography and was deeply educated and encouraged. Soon I gave them an old-fashioned poem, which read as follows:
Seven laws: feelings are presented to the public and the elderly.
Wei was praised as thin as the sea in Huang Shi.
Xuanxuan's great career is like Xu Shi, who is more brilliant than Four Lights.
I think of my predecessors' work and my mother's old classmates.
I came late in the rain, grateful for the long cultivation.
The signature is "humble and unworthy nephew, stupid and worshipped by private disciple Tang Yun".
Qing Ji, the old uncle, took it and recited it repeatedly, saying, "Your knowledge of classical literature is really profound. You are well versed in old-style poetry and rhyme, and you write well. However, welcome! You're welcome! "
At that time, I reported to my mother in my letter at home what I had done for Uncle Qing Ji. My mother is very happy. In her reply, she encouraged me to continue my efforts, serve Uncle Huang more and make more achievements under the leadership of Uncle Huang. 1979, my mother died in Chongqing because the second operation failed for bladder cancer recurrence. After learning the bad news, I asked for leave to go back to Chongqing to attend the funeral. I went to my uncle's house in Qing Ji. Their parents and other relatives are also sad and sad about my mother's death. My parents immediately sent a telegram of condolences and asked me to convey their condolences to my relatives in my hometown. I hope we can feel sorry for your loss. After coming back from Chongqing, I went to my uncle's house in Qing Ji to express my brothers, sisters and relatives' thanks and greetings. I also said to their parents, "I have been my parents' favorite son since I was a child, and Uncle Huang and Aunt Huang are my parents' best friends. I will serve Uncle Huang faithfully and practically as they told me before I died. "
At the beginning of 1980, Uncle Qing Ji said that Professor Xu Jinghua, who worked part-time in the Geology Department of Central University, was a Chinese-American scholar. At that time, he was teaching at Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich, and he planned to award an honorary doctorate to a world-renowned scientist for the school's100th anniversary. Mr. Xu specially recommended his old mentor uncle and asked him to send the relevant materials. I have an appointment with Uncle Qing Ji to go to his house to sort out his materials. On the evening of the appointed day, the north wind roared and the snow fell heavily. I rode my bike to his house, took off my coat outside the door, shook off all the snow, and then went into the house. Mr. and Mrs. Qing Ji's old uncle and other relatives were surprised and moved and said, "Are you still here in such a heavy snow?" I sincerely replied, "Honesty is the most important thing if you have an appointment first. Believers are the foundation of people, but people don't believe, don't know what they can do, and have no carts or cars. How did they do it? I promised to do such an important thing for Uncle Huang. Just say it's snowing, and I have to come under the knife! " Then everyone sat down and worked for two or three hours, sorting out relevant materials, mainly the Chinese and English introduction of the old uncle's life achievements, the catalogue of major academic works and so on. His catalogue involves many languages, but fortunately, I dabbled in many languages for the needs of study and scientific research. Besides being proficient in English and Russian, I can almost look up professional literature in Germany, France and even Japan with a dictionary. In the face of the materials I sorted out for him, Uncle Qing Ji felt a lot and complained a little. He said, "I lack talents like you. Divide three times five by two, and finish my scheduled task neatly. Zhu and Meng Jisheng are not so good at all. 1957, I will be labeled as a rightist. After reporting to the Ministry, He Changgong, Song Ying and other leaders saved me, and they also organized general meetings and small meetings to criticize me. The Cultural Revolution messed me up again, slandering me as a lackey of Ding Wenjiang and Weng Wenhao, an economic spy of the United States and Chiang Kai-shek, and putting me in the bullpen. I was liberated in the late period of the' Cultural Revolution' and became the object of the series. I became the deputy director and deputy director of the Revolutionary Committee of the Geological Institute, and I didn't even have an assistant around me. I have to hurry to send the newly graduated college students of workers, peasants and soldiers to deal with me. This young man is simple and honest and diligent, and I don't dislike it, but after all, what I learned during the' Cultural Revolution' is limited and can't help me much. If only there were more people like you! Aunt Chuanjun interjected: "Can you bring Yuntang to your side? "He replied," It's a pity that my official is a little small, and I have to be a deputy minister or above to qualify for roll call. "
1982101From July 7 to 9, the first annual academic meeting of the Geological Society of China Geological History Research Association-"The First National Symposium on Geological History" was held in Peking University. Uncle Qing Ji, Li Chunyu, Gao Zhenxi, Zhang Wenyou and Wu Jingzi, a famous Chinese American geologist, attended the opening ceremony. As the chairman of the Society, Uncle Qing Ji sent a congratulatory message at the meeting, and said at the beginning: "In recent years, the research on the history of geology has made certain achievements, and more and more comrades are involved. According to my preliminary understanding, Xia,,, Sun, Wang Genyuan,,,, Pan Yuntang and other comrades have all done investigation and research work ... "This is the first time that I have been named and commended by the Master of Geological Sciences at the national academic conference. Two years later, I joined the team of the second 10 board meeting of the Research Association, which I think has something to do with the support of Qing Ji's old uncle and teachers and friends. For more than 20 years, I have been carrying out the leadership intention in this team and working closely with my colleagues. Among my numerous social part-time jobs, this one is undoubtedly the most persistent and devoted.
1985 Hunan science and technology publishing house plans to edit and publish the biography of modern geologists in China, which is operated by Professor He Shaoxun of Central South University of Technology. Mr. He specially invited Uncle Qing Ji to be the editor-in-chief of this book with him. My uncle recommended me to the editorial board to write biographies for seven old geologists: Zhang, Ding Wenjiang, Tan Xichou, Tian Qi, Li Chunyu, Ji Rongsen and Cheng. After I finished writing, I arranged them into a book 1 set, with a total of 52 people, and the length of my writing accounted for about 1/7. 1988, during the compilation of Geological Volume of Encyclopedia of China, Uncle Qing Ji wrote biographical entries of Zhao Yazeng and Zhu Sen, and Uncle Qing Ji wrote to Lou Sui, the editor of the volume, recommending me to write these entries. Later Lou asked me to write biographies of other geologists. I also helped them do related work. When the book was published in 1993, I was listed as a "special editor".
1987, Uncle Qing Ji asked me to compile Selected Works of Weng Wenhao. He plans the overall situation and is responsible for selecting topics. I have done specific editing work. This book was published by Metallurgical Industry Press before the 0/00th anniversary of Uncle Weng's birthday, with the signature "Edited by Pan Yuntang, Selected by Huang". In the preface, he said: "At the request of Mr. Weng's relatives and metallurgical industry publishing house, with the help of Pan Yuntang and other comrades, I started to sort out Mr. Weng's academic legacy ... and compiled this book."
The Central Committee of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang held a forum to commemorate the100th anniversary of Mr. Weng's birth. As one of the conference documents, the book was distributed to every participant, which was well received by everyone and received heartfelt thanks from Uncle Weng's relatives. Uncle Weng's third son-in-law, Xu Yongsheng's brother, and Youjuan's sister's husband (Secretary-General of Chinese Pharmaceutical Society of Taiwan Province Province) attended the meeting on behalf of overseas relatives. As soon as he saw me, he said, "I already knew in Taipei that many friends who made great efforts in this commemorative activity of my father-in-law, including Mr. Pan Yizhi's son, turned out to be you!" Later, my uncle instructed me and his secretary, Xie Guanglian, to compile Selected Works of Ding Wenjiang, signed by Huang, Pan Yuntang and Xie Guanglian, which was published by Peking University Publishing House as 1993.
I wrote many propaganda articles for old uncle Qing Ji, and he was very happy to read them. But he often reminds me to be realistic and appropriate, so I let him read the first draft and revise it repeatedly every time I finish writing it. Later, I sent him the newspapers and periodicals that published these articles, and he was very satisfied, especially in the bimonthly "China Talents" of 1994. Huang Dongguang
1On March 22nd, 995, Uncle Qing Ji passed away. On March 3 1 day, I joined the queue of 1000 people in babaoshan funeral home Auditorium to bid farewell to this outstanding master of geological science.
At the end of the 20th century, Lu Yongxiang, vice chairman of the National People's Congress and president of China Academy of Sciences, personally took the lead in editing, and planned to publish the book Brilliant Innovation: Young Masters of Science in Science Press. I was a member of the editorial board at that time, and I also wrote the article "Outstanding Master of Geological Sciences-Huang", which was published in 200 1. Readers can learn a lot from the efforts of great scientists at home and abroad when they were young.
In 2004, it was the centenary birthday of Uncle Qing Ji, and geological society of china and other units planned to hold commemorative activities in advance. One of the tasks is to compile a chronicle of the Yellow Age. In 2003, under the leadership of Academician Ren Jishun, Qing Ji's old uncle in his early years, I did it concretely. This book was published before his centenary birthday in 2004. On June 7th of that year, a grand commemorative meeting was held in the auditorium of Jingxi Hotel. Vice Chairman Lu Yongxiang, Vice Premier Zeng, dozens of academicians and hundreds of experts and scholars attended, and this book was distributed to everyone present with the signature "Pan Yuntang, edited by geological society of china". March 30th of that year was Qing Ji's centenary birthday. The leader of his hometown, Renshou County, Sichuan Province specially invited me to give a report to his alma mater, Renshou County No.1 Middle School, telling his life and deeds, which was warmly welcomed by teachers and students. Li Dequan, deputy county magistrate, and Wu, vice chairman, attended the meeting. At the meeting, they and I also presented awards to the winners of the "Yellow Scholarship".
Looking back on the friendship between our two families and three generations for more than half a century, we can't help feeling deeply. I sometimes think that if I choose the right major and vote for the right person, maybe my life and career will be different. Specifically, if I take advantage of this precious family relationship earlier, choose structural geology as my major, be a graduate student of Uncle Qing Ji, be his secretary assistant later, and join the scientific research team led by him, then I will probably be an academician. Because he is the love of Weng Wenhao's uncle and Mr. Xian Junyi, if I come to him, he will definitely take me out, especially because he likes, appreciates and values my own knowledge and talent. Unfortunately, I was suppressed by the extreme "Left" situation, which delayed my precious youth in my twenties and thirties. "The wind and water turn in a hundred years, thirty east and forty west". By the time I came back to Beijing to find my old uncle Qing Ji in the prosperous times of reform and opening up, my relationship with him was only horizontal, and I could only help him with chores such as writing biographies, chronicles and catalogues. Of course, history is ruthless, and there is no "hypothesis" and "possibility" in life. You can't go back. You can only face the reality, start from scratch, look forward and don't look back. People will always be "less than the last one and more than the next one", so be content. I am very satisfied to have come this far.
In four years, it will be my uncle Qing Ji's 1 10 birthday. I think the academic circles may be planning new commemorative activities. Can his chronicle be expanded and reprinted? Can you write a long biography for him? These problems can be considered, so that the spiritual wealth left by Uncle Qing Ji can benefit the country, the nation and the society more.
