The Capital Museum is a large comprehensive museum in Beijing, which belongs to the municipal comprehensive museum in China Province. With its magnificent architecture, rich exhibitions, advanced technology and perfect functions, the Capital Museum has become a large-scale modern museum commensurate with Beijing's status as a "historical and cultural city", "cultural center" and "international metropolis", and ranks among the "domestic first-class and international advanced" museums.

Since its opening, the Capital Museum has held many well-received exhibitions of historical relics at home and abroad, such as: Beijing Historical Relics Exhibition, Yuan Dynasty History Exhibition, Old Beijing Spring Festival Folk Exhibition, ceramics collection, calligraphy and painting authenticity identification exhibition, Beijing historical and cultural exhibition, etc. Interior: basic exhibition, special exhibition, temporary exhibition, cultural relics warehouse, social education area, business research area, administrative office area, comprehensive service area, underground garage, etc. With perfect functions and advanced facilities, the new museum ranks among the international advanced and domestic first-class modern museums. It integrates cultural relics collection, exhibition, restoration, research, education and communication.

In 2000, the construction of the new capital museum started, and the compilation of the exhibition outline began immediately; The outline of the exhibition has been guided by many academic authorities from China Academy of Social Sciences, Peking University Academy of Social Sciences and Beijing Academy of Social Sciences, and strives to reflect the latest achievements recognized by the academic circles. The exhibition design strives to break through the traditional boring exhibition mode with a brand-new design concept, make full use of modern exhibition technology and techniques, create different kinds of exhibition atmosphere, give the audience an experiential visit experience, and have formal affinity, interest and interactivity to meet the needs of both refined and popular tastes.

For decades, the Capital Museum has collected a large number of cultural relics, with a collection of 250,000 pieces, including bronzes, pottery, calligraphy and painting, stone carvings, coins, jade articles, seals, embroidery, horns of bamboo and wood, Buddha statues, stationery and folk handicrafts. There are also many orphans and treasures in the collection that are well-known at home and abroad. The Capital Museum has a total collection of more than 83,000 cultural relics, including 305 first-class ones. Most of the collections are cultural relics unearthed in Beijing after the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC) (China), from Neolithic Age, Shang and Zhou Dynasties to Liao, Jin, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. Treasures in the collection, such as the bronze bronze tripod of the Zhou Dynasty unearthed in Liu Lihe, a suburb of Beijing, are 62 cm high and weigh 465,438 0.5 kg. There are 4 lines and 26 words on the inner wall, which is of great significance to the study of ancient history of Beijing. In addition, there are Bo Moment, Jasper Edition Sonnets and so on.

There are basic exhibitions, fine exhibitions and temporary exhibitions in the Capital Museum.

The basic exhibition includes the history and culture of the ancient capital Beijing, the urban construction of the ancient capital Beijing and the folk custom exhibition of old Beijing. These seven exhibitions of fine collections and old Beijing folk customs are the supplements and deepening of Beijing's cultural display.

A total of 5,622 cultural relics were exhibited in the above exhibitions.

This temporary exhibition is a stage to study and appreciate the relationship between Beijing culture and other cultures, China culture and world culture.
