Requirements for studying in the United States:
1) completed high school education in China or equivalent;
2) Have a certain level of English (TOEFL and other language scores). If there is no score or the score does not meet the requirements, you can go to the preparatory course first;
3) Application materials required by American schools.
* Compared with art schools in comprehensive universities, art schools can improve their language skills while studying specialized courses only by passing professional examinations and having basic English communication skills. Some do not need to pass the exam, as long as the works and video materials provided at the time of application are excellent enough. Art colleges apply for foreign comprehensive universities with the same language requirements as students of other majors, and they also have to pass the SAT when applying for American undergraduate courses.
Students studying in the art college of a comprehensive university receive an all-round education, and may not necessarily engage in art-related jobs after graduation; Art colleges tend to train students to become art practitioners. Generally speaking, graduates will engage in their own majors.
