Baolongshan Town is located in the northeast of Tongliao City, in the middle of Kezuozhongqi. It is connected with Horqin District in the southwest and Jilin Province in the north, 43 kilometers away from Baokang Town where the flag is located and 68 kilometers away from Horqin District where Tongliao City is located. It is a pilot town for comprehensive reform of small towns in the autonomous region. After the institutional reform in Sumu Township, Baolongshan Town was formed by the merger of three Sumu towns, namely Baolongshan Town, Hailijin Sumu Town and Harigantu Sumu Town, and three Gacha towns and two Gacha towns in Tuanjie Township, making it the second largest town in the whole banner. The total land area of the town is 1 150 square kilometers, and the township area is 14 square kilometers, including 2 square kilometers of development zone, 350,000 mu of cultivated land, 200,000 mu of forest land and 760,000 mu of grassland. The town governs 48 Gacha villages and 4 neighborhood committees with a total population of 65,000, including 59,000 Mongolians. There are 78 party branches in the town, including 48 in Gacha, 4 in neighborhood committees, 9 in organs, enterprises and institutions, 3 in individual industrial and commercial households and 4 in non-public enterprises.
