Norway is a country of ten thousand islands. The Kingdom of Norway, referred to as the "Road to the North" for short, is one of the five Nordic countries, located in the west of Scandinavia. It borders Sweden in the east, Denmark across the sea in the south, Russia and Finland in the northeast and the Norwegian Sea in the west.
