The Successful Launch of Remote Sensing Satellite II
On May 25th, 2007 15: 02, China successfully sent the Remote Sensing-2 satellite into space by the Long March II carrier rocket at Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center.

Zhang, deputy director of the General Armament Department and general manager of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, Xu and Lei Fanpei, deputy general managers, and Zhao, assistant general manager, watched the launch at Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center.

The "Long March II D" carrier rocket used for launching was developed by Shanghai Aerospace Technology Research Institute under China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation. This launch is the 99th flight of the Long March series of launch vehicles.
