Lv Zhi was the empress of Emperor Gaozu Liu Bang (reigned from 202 BC to 195 BC). After Gaozu's death, she was honored as the Empress Dowager (from 65438 BC to 65438 BC+080 BC), and was the first recorded empress and empress dowager in China history. At the same time, Lv Zhi was also the first woman to be called the imperial system after Qin Shihuang unified China and implemented the imperial system. She was included in Sima Qian's Chronicle of the Emperor's Political Events, and later Ban Gu wrote Han Shu, which is still in use today. Political measures
In the sixth year of Huidi (before 189), the imperial court also "opened Chang 'an West Market", which made Chang 'an the center of economic activities in the Han Dynasty and laid the foundation for Chang 'an to become a cosmopolitan city at that time. In the second year (186 years ago) and the sixth year (182 years ago), the imperial court adopted the measures of "eight baht and five cents" respectively, and used state power to manage and regulate the monetary economy, which played a positive role in stabilizing the currency value, balancing prices and promoting commodity circulation.
Commemoration of future generations
Lu is located in Sanyi Village, Yaodian Township, Weicheng District, Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province, 200 meters southeast of Gaozu Changling. The mausoleum is 32 meters high, and the base is 160 meters long from east to west and 1 3 1 meter long from north to south, showing an overlapping bucket shape. Because the mausoleum was built on the edge of the plateau on the north bank of Wei River, it looks like a hill from a distance, which is extremely magnificent.
