In February 2002, he served as the director of the political department of the 9 th Army of the Air Force, and in February 2003, he served as the political commissar of the Urumqi Command of the Air Force. In March 2004, he served as political commissar of the Air Force Command College.

In February 2008, he served as deputy director of the Political Department of the Air Force.

Later, he served as political commissar of China People's Liberation Army Air Force Logistics Department.
