Shanghai Tower covers an area of 30,400 square meters with a plot ratio of 12.5. After the project is completed, the total construction area will reach 558,800 square meters-far exceeding the neighboring World Financial Center (380,000 square meters). However, in the total construction area, the above-ground construction area of Shanghai Tower is about 379,700 square meters, and the underground construction area is about 6,543.8+079,200 square meters (including 6,543.8+000 square meters of underground parking area and 2,000 parking spaces). In addition, Shanghai Tower plans to have a five-story podium about 35 meters high. It is worth mentioning that the relevant departments of Shanghai have previously announced that the height of Shanghai Tower is 580 meters.
