He loved art since he was a child because his father had a close personal relationship with the painter Wu Shoumei. Primary school students studied Yan calligraphy from Mr. Wu, and middle-aged students studied calligraphy and painting from Liu Qijin, Chen. His artistic accomplishment has been constantly improved and he has created a lot of works. He has achieved excellent results in many competitions in the whole province and gradually grew into an excellent police camp painter.

In the autumn of 20 10, Sichuan Calligraphers' Association, Sichuan Artists' Association and Sichuan Public Security Federation of Literary and Art Circles jointly held a painting and calligraphy exhibition, taking photos in front of their own exhibition works.
