Finding a job is a physical and mental matter, and finding a good job is a protracted war. It's normal that many people haven't found their favorite jobs for a month or two. Don't blindly look for a job, otherwise the job is not what you like, and the work will be very depressing and hard, complaining about low wages and overtime every day.

Many newly graduated designers don't know how to find the right job, the right company and the right position. I don't know where to find it, and I don't know which companies are suitable for me. The design industry is quite special, and most of them are small and medium-sized companies. What channels can designers use to find jobs?

First, the online job search platform

We often go to online recruitment websites: Carefree Future, ChinaHR.com, Lagou.com, etc. In fact, the direct employment of BOSS is also good, but unfortunately something happened some time ago, which has dealt a great blow to its reputation.

Many recruitment websites can't guarantee that 100% has no fake recruitment. In fact, it is difficult to see whether a family is true or not from the information on the recruitment website. What is the best company for you to see, and then you can go online to search the company's evaluation and reputation? Or official website.

General large and medium-sized enterprises will have their own websites, and general powerful design companies will also have their own websites, because this is a place to show their strength and attract customers.

For design positions, the recruitment website has an advantage, that is, you can find the position and level you want to interview on it, and compare different salaries to get a rough range, that is, the market price of that level of position.

Judging from Goodmore's years of experience, the recruitment needs of many companies are actually not so principled. For example, a company requires a bachelor's degree and three years of work experience, while you only have a junior college degree and only two years of work experience. Finally, you submitted your resume with a bumpy mood and finally got hired.

This situation is everywhere. Of course, companies with strong principles are not excluded.

Many times, in addition to the online evaluation just mentioned, we can also see whether the recruitment of this company is reliable from the following three points:

1. Look at enterprise certification

Many mainstream recruitment websites will have the process of enterprise certification and audit to ensure the authenticity of enterprises, but many websites do not expressly stipulate that enterprises must pass certification and audit to display recruitment information, so we must pay attention when reading recruitment information.

2. The job description is not clear

If an enterprise needs to recruit an employee, it needs to write clearly the job responsibilities, especially the technical positions such as designers. If the recruitment information is only a few words and the job responsibilities are not invited, such companies need to pay special attention.

3. The salary is higher than the industry salary.

Obviously, the average level of the company is so high, but some companies offer prices far higher than the market price for the same position and level, so we must be wary of such companies.

In addition, there is another situation that must be a liar, that is, if you want to work, you must pay first.

The general routine is this: you apply for the job and tell you that you are not qualified for the job and need to spend money on training. After the training, these fees will be returned to you in the form of salary, or we can sign a loan contract first and pay it back slowly after you work.

Many friends thought that the pie really fell from the sky, so they foolishly agreed to the other party's request, giving money if they had money, and signing a loan contract if they had no money. As a result, not only did I not earn a penny, but I also owed thousands or tens of thousands of dollars.

Goodmore would also like to say here that such contracts are generally issued by banks. If you sign it, you will actually return the money to the bank. It will be troublesome if you don't pay it back, because your credit will be blacklisted by the bank and will be entered into the credit information system. It will bring a lot of trouble to your later life.

One more thing, submit your resume online and try to turn your work into tens of megabytes of PDF, which is convenient for the company to read and watch. Similarly, for many newly graduated designers, I like to package the source files and send them to the applicant company, which will give us a headache.

Second, the local talent market and school recruitment

I went to the talent market several times when I just graduated and applied for a job. I don't want to walk behind, because I really can't stand it and there are so many people. It is a kind of suffering for the job seeker's body and mind.

The school recruitment is relatively better, but there are many people, and many graduates will also appear in the school recruitment. No one can be busy looking for opportunities, but most of the jobs provided by these two channels are junior positions.

The local talent market is generally divided into two types: charging and free. You ask me which is better, and I want to say which will get you a suitable job. Generally speaking, the job-hunting environment is relatively good, which can also ensure that most companies in it have audit qualifications, but it does not rule out that there are some leather bag companies and fake companies.

School recruitment is basically free, and the recruitment place is either in the school playground or in the school gymnasium.

Whether it is free or not, it must be noted that any company that asks you for money is a fraud company. Generally, fees are charged to job seekers in various names, such as clothing fees, training fees, work card fees, deposits, etc. Such a company should not go at all and should not be tempted by the benefits promised by those people.

In fact, I still suggest that college graduates can visit more, because there are three advantages:

First, you can feel the cruelty of competition, let you know the importance of work, and don't jump ship easily;

Second, you can exercise your language skills through continuous on-site interviews;

Third: observe how those who have successfully interviewed express and think in all aspects.

If you look at the interviewer's desktop, you will find that he will divide his resume into two or more piles. Because there are a bunch that he won't read at all, and there are a bunch that he thinks are not bad. Occasionally, he feels so good that he even takes a pen and marks his resume for later browsing.

And that pile of things that will never be seen will eventually be thrown into the garbage.

Friends who have been there know that the interview time in the talent market ranges from 5 seconds to 2 minutes. The first time I saw you for five seconds, I thought it was no good, then I asked you to leave your resume and ask you a few questions casually, and then I sent you away.

I interviewed for 2 minutes because I think you are still a potential talent and want to know more about you. So how can designers improve the success rate when they go to the interview? Goodmore would like to share with you two points:

1. Prepare a beautiful resume and portfolio.

It is quite advantageous for designers to do resumes. You don't need to bring a resume of word to apply for a job. How embarrassing. You are a designer, and you applied for a design position. As a result, you took a version of word to apply. Isn't that funny? Resume represents your image, and a good resume can add a lot to your score.

As for the portfolio, it represents your level. When I applied for a job, I made a photo album of my own works, which contained some works from my college days. Although there are few commercial designs, it still represents a certain design level to make an album.

Many senior designers will also make a collection of their own works, which is very beautiful. It's very convenient whether you collect it yourself or find a job.

Because designers are different from other positions, they just need to dress appropriately, because we students don't have much money to buy expensive brand names, but we still have to spend some money to dress up less cheaply, which is also a very good bargaining chip for us to find a job.

Of course, in addition, there are some interview skills, so I won't talk about them here, but you must be confident and sincere in the on-site interview and never lie. Authenticity is the most basic condition for job hunting. Experienced recruiters can find out at a glance whether you are lying or not, and it will be embarrassing if you are caught red-handed.

Job seekers with no work experience had better confess, even if they are lucky enough to pass the interview, different problems will appear in their future work.

Third, the enterprise official website

When I am looking for a job, I especially like to visit official website and apply for a job there. The level of a design company can be well reflected in official website. Maybe I have certain principles when looking for a job. In principle, if I go to a design company for an interview, that company doesn't have its own official website, I won't go.

I won't go because the design of that company, official website, is not good, and I won't go because some works of that company, official website, are very LOW.

When I was in Beijing before, when I submitted my resume to Zhengbang Dongdao, I went directly to official website to find the relevant contact information. Many design companies will have their own recruitment channels in official website. This is more accurate and convenient than those online recruitment information.

Here, I want to tell you a little skill in job hunting. Generally, official website has an email address and contact information. After I submit my resume, I will call the above number and tell the other party that my name is XXX, and I have just sent a resume to your company's mailbox, and I really want to enter your company. Don't say too much, just focus on expressing my desire to enter.

Then there was no reply after three days. Send another resume and call to tell the other person my name. I sent my resume to your company last week and made a phone call. But I didn't see your reply. I thought you didn't receive it, so I sent another resume. Please check it.

Then call the next day to confirm whether the other party has received it. The purpose of this is to ensure that the other party has received your work. Finally, the reason why you didn't apply is that your ability doesn't meet the requirements of the company, not that you didn't receive your resume.

Why are you calling again and again? Is it because there are too many resumes in HR mailbox, or because your ability is not outstanding? This is also to let the other party feel your sincerity, feel your difference and be more honest.

Generally, if there are job seekers with similar level, they will give priority to those who are impressed. Although you are not superior in level, you have caught each other's mind in sincerity.

Although I apply for a job and basically speak with my works, there will still be many accidents. For example, another person who is better than you is too demanding, eccentric and gives a bad impression, then this is your opportunity.

Many small design companies don't have HR, just the boss's mobile phone number. It doesn't matter. You know, design is a people-oriented industry. We are eager for good design talents, and high-end designers are even scarcer. Many companies often can't recruit suitable designers at the price of 300,000-400,000.

So as long as you feel that your ability is ok, you should summon up the courage to contact.

Of course, in addition to the above channels, there is another channel called interpolation. Generally, large design companies have internal push mechanism, and many design companies recommend internal push. I used to be a design company, and the leaders often asked me or other designers if there were any friends with strong ability to find a job. The company needs to recruit designers at present.

Now I am in charge of the department management myself. When I need someone, I will ask the following designers if they recommend me.

However, I don't recommend you to recommend good friends or girlfriends. Compared with the workplace, it is cruel and not so beautiful, because staying in the company for a long time will inevitably lead to problems. It is not worth it to avoid cutting off your friendship for more than ten years for a job.

Finally, Ning would like to say: When looking for a job, you must keep your eyes open and learn to observe. A good job needs time to find it slowly, interview families more and improve your ability.
