Generally, a large sculpture takes 1-2 years, only a few months, which is quite difficult. Because sculpture is a combination of physical strength and mental power, he has done many portraits of Fu Baoshi before. This time, I mainly want to make a portrait of Fu Baoshi in Jiangxi, showing the image of middle-aged Fu Baoshi. Ye Gaozong has studied many photos, and some expressions between his brow are based on the photos of Fu Baoshi in the 1940s. Because Fu Baoshi is a painter, not a leader, it is decided that it should be different from other sculptures and not too big. Starting from the pole, it will be 5.5 meters high. From the square, go straight ahead. I originally wanted to add a shadow wall at the back, which has both width and height. Now it looks ok, so I chose to conceive the feeling of painting, holding paper in my left hand and writing in my right hand. After the manuscript was finalized, it was enlarged by sculptor Shiping Luo, and Ye climbed up again. He hasn't been on the bench for a minute in two months. It was not until noon on September 29th 12 that this granite sculpture with a height of 5.5 meters and a weight of 40 tons was made.
