Wang Xian [1] (1922 ~1994) was born in Hengshan County, Hunan Province. Committed to phonology research, he was the vice president of China Phonology Research Association, and worked in the Institute of Linguistics of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences from 65438 to 0953. He used to be an associate researcher at the Institute of Linguistics and director of the Research Office of Ancient Chinese.
