The Yangtze River flows through Anqing, Tongling, Chizhou, Wuhu, Maanshan and other cities in Anhui.

The Yangtze River flows through Anqing, Tongling, Chizhou, Wuhu and Maanshan in Anhui Province. The city is located in the Anhui section of the Yangtze River, with a total length of about 4 16 km. Anhui section of the Yangtze River is mainly an alluvial plain section, which is called "800-mile Wanjiang River". This section of the Yangtze River basin covers an area of 66,000 square kilometers, accounting for 4.73% of the total area of Anhui Province and about 4% of the whole Yangtze River basin. Cities are built along the Yangtze River, and the flow of the Yangtze River provides important conditions and opportunities for local economic and traffic development.
