The plant of Sophora alopecuroides is a small tree with obvious trunk, high branches, about 40-90cm from the ground, and sparse and upright branches. In natural growth, the height of the plant is 3-4 meters, and the maximum height can reach more than 5 meters. The leaves are large, oval, yellow-green, smooth, thin and shiny, with sparse serrations, prolonged blade tips, developed sponge tissues, palisade tissues 1 layer, many stone cells and few calcium oxalate crystals. Medium-sized species, with plump buds and leaves, strong tenderness, and no hair or less hair on tea buds. The flower pattern is large, the diameter is 3.5-4.0cm, and the inflorescences are clustered. Flowering period10-1month, few seeds, diameter12.9 mm.
Characteristics of tea: tall plants, upright trees and sparse branches. The leaves are ovoid, yellow-green, shiny, flat or slightly convex, with thin and shallow teeth, sharp, thick and brittle leaves. Bud leaves are fat, light green, with little or no fluff. Corolla 3.5 ~ 4.0 cm in diameter, 7 petals, hairy ovary, 2 ~ 3-lobed style. The seeds are brown-black, with a diameter of 65438±0.4cm, and the buds and leaves are highly productive and tender. The yield is relatively high, reaching about 667m2150kg. The dry sample of one bud and two leaves of spring tea contains about 3.3% amino acids, 30.0% tea polyphenols and 0/9.3% catechin/kloc. Suitable for making black tea. Red broken tea is brown and moist in color, strong in taste and red in soup color. Cold tolerance and adaptability are weak. Medium hardness.
Jianghua bitter tea is a typical bitter tea with high content of simple catechins, which is similar to the wild tea tree in Menghai, Yunnan, while the content of complex catechins is similar to that of collision species (Myanmar species), Assam species and China species (shrub species), with both primitive and evolutionary characteristics. The content of polyphenols in fresh leaves of summer tea is 39.2 1%, water extract is 48.50%, amino acid 164.0mg/g, and theanine is 249.90 mg/g. The red broken tea is moist in appearance, heavy in particles, red in soup color, strong in taste, thick in gold circle, bright and uniform in leaf bottom and rich in aroma. When making green tea, remove the fresh leaves, the tea juice is rich, it is not easy to dry, and the tea tastes bitter and resistant to brewing. The yield is Shang Gao, the adaptability of seedlings is weak, the root system is underdeveloped, and the survival rate of cutting propagation is average. Therefore, technical management should be strengthened, which is suitable for planting in southern Hunan.
Cultivation points: Suitable for planting in forests and mountainous areas with deep soil layer, loose soil and no severe cold in winter. Planting and cutting according to the standard of conventional tea garden.
