He resolutely implemented the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China's principles and policies on the United front and CPPCC, actively promoted cooperation with democratic parties and personages without party affiliation, participated in promoting the peaceful reunification of the motherland and overseas friendship, and made great efforts and positive contributions to upholding and improving the multi-party cooperation and political consultation system led by China, consolidating and developing the patriotic United front and creating a new situation in the cause of CPPCC.
Comrade Gu Mu is a member of the 10th, 11th and 12th Central Committee of China and secretary of the 11th and 12th Central Secretariat. Comrade Gu Mu died in Beijing at the age of 96 on1October 6 1 14: 55 in 2009.
