Important value
The story of Liang Zhu is one of the four Chinese folk stories, which is called "Romeo and Juliet" in the East. Through the story complex of Zhu Yingtai disguised as a man and showed her love to Liang Shanbo, we can further understand the personal feelings of women in ancient society who boldly pursued true love and longed for beautiful love. Liang Zhu's love tragedy makes people seriously think about the limitations of the arranged marriage system in some aspects, which provides useful help for perfecting the marriage system.
If the cruel death of Liang Zhu's marriage has a strong tragic significance, then its "become a butterfly" ending is full of positive significance. What you can't pursue alive, continue to "pursue" after death, and finally get it. The ending of Becoming a Butterfly embodies the great power of love and people's persistent pursuit of beautiful things. For thousands of years, this power has been inspiring people to fight against all stubborn evil forces that destroy the beauty of the world for personal gain.
