Brief introduction of Chen Ze's career
Chen Ze (A.D. 16 17— 1674) was born in Xialiao Community, Haicheng County (now Xialiao Village, Fugong Town, Longhai City). Chen Ze likes swimming in Nanxi of Jiulong River since he was a child, and he is good at swimming. When I was a teenager, I drove ducks for the rich man and often laughed at myself as "Marshal Duck". When the Qing army went south, he practiced martial arts and boxing with his fellow villagers to defend his hometown.

In Lane 7, Zhong Yi Road, Tainan City, Bao Dao, there is a large-scale Yingchuan Family Temple, which has gone through more than 330 years. Its predecessor was Zheng Chenggong's "Commander-in-Chief of Taiwan Army" Chen Ze.

Go to Zheng Chenggong

win many victories

When Zheng Chenggong recruited soldiers in southern Fujian, Chen Ze defected. Zheng Chenggong likes this farmer, who is seven years older than him, because he has strong martial arts. Chen Ze is resourceful and brave, and has repeatedly made outstanding achievements. Soon, he was promoted to the commander of the new Wuying camp by a person named Ye in this country.

In March of the sixth year of Li Yong in the Southern Ming Dynasty (A.D. 1652), Jin Chen, governor of Fujian and Zhejiang sent by the Manchu Dynasty, led tens of thousands of troops to settle in Tongan. He also mobilized troops and Tingzhou to attack on three sides and destroy Zheng Chenggong's main force in Zhangzhou. Zheng Chenggong and Chen Ze extradited elite soldiers from Xiamen and quietly ambushed them in Longchiyan. Longchiyan Mountain has dense forests and abundant springs. The valley was filled with the roar of waterfalls. Even if there is a horse barking in the sky, you can't hear it outside the mountain. After Chen Ze and Zheng Chenggong dispatched troops, they sat on the boulder under the shadow of pine trees and played chess, talking and laughing. 13 in the morning, the spy reported that the Qing army had besieged Baijiao city. Zheng Chenggong moved the "horse" in the chessboard, ate Chen Ze's rampaging "car" and said humorously, "The tortoise has entered our urn!" He glanced at Chen Ze and said with a smile, "This chess game will be played after this battle!" After Zheng Chenggong finished, he jumped off the boulder (this boulder is still there, and the word "interest" is engraved on it by later generations) and led the army out of the jungle. Chen Ze followed, falling from the sky like a magical weapon. In an instant, the knife flashed, and the head of the Qing general rolled off the horse. Thirty thousand troops of the Qing army were wiped out, leaving only Jin Chen to flee. Zheng Jun captured Changtai County.

In May of the following year, the Qing Dynasty sent general Gu Li, together with Fujian and Zhejiang Governor Liu Qingtai, to command tens of thousands of infantry and hundreds of artillery, shelling day and night, causing many collapses in Haicheng. Chen Ze crossed the Jiulong River by boat and came to Baijiao City to ask for reinforcements. Hundreds of people from Baijiao took a boat with Chen Ze to Haicheng for the war overnight. Zheng Chenggong personally took command of the town, ordered his men to bury gunpowder by the river ditch, and sent ground guns to kill and burn the Qing army. Under the command of Chen Ze, young people in Bai Jiao attacked them. After Haicheng was cleaned up, Zheng Chenggong ordered the construction of Haicheng.

At that time, Zheng Chenggong took Xiajin as his base camp, and Haicheng was the main land stronghold for hoarding food and producing weapons. In order to take care of the overall situation, villagers and elders in Bai Jiao tore down all the stones in Bai Jiao City and transported them to Yuegang on the other side under the command of Chen Ze. In a short time, Haicheng is more than 20 feet high, and the old five cities are integrated. Outside the ship, rice weapons are built in. According to Zhangzhou throat, it is the exterior and interior of the second gate of Jinxia, and it is a long-term defense plan.

Chen Ze, commander of Xinwuying, was ordered to guard Zhoutou Bay in the tenth year of Yongzheng in the Southern Ming Dynasty (AD 1656). In July of the same year, he led his troops to cooperate with Gan Hui troops, recovered Putian and Xinghua areas, and mobilized troops in Fuan to collect a large amount of food for the main force. He was rewarded by Zheng Chenggong and promoted to guard the town. He suggested to Zheng Chenggong: don't stick to the southeast coast, but take advantage of the fact that Manchu has not yet gained a foothold to hold a northern expedition.

/kloc-at the beginning of 0/658, Chen Ze was promoted to "Xuanyi Town". In May, Zheng Chenggong, Gan Hui, Chen Ze and other generals led170,000 soldiers, 8,000 fighters and 8,000 warships to the north and set sail. According to the drawings of the water army that Chen Ze learned from the surrendered Qing generals, the army attacked Guazhou, occupied Zhenjiang and reached Nanjing. Zheng Chenggong ordered the 83rd Battalion to surround Nanjing. The fake surrender of the leader of the Qing army is actually a plan to slow down the enemy's arrogance. Chen Ze and others suggested preempting Nanjing first, and then attacking Beijing. But Zheng Chenggong stationed troops and waited for the enemy to surrender. Chen Ze hurriedly arranged for soldiers to repair warships. Later, the Qing army sent reinforcements in all directions, and Chen Ze and other departments fought their way out, broke through the encirclement, protected Zheng Chenggong and retreated to Xiamen. Chen Ze strengthened the training of naval divisions. Many times in Chongwu coastal defeated the Qing navy, trying to stop the Qing army from going south.

Take the lead in crusade

Crossing the sea to catch Holland is easy.

166 1 In the spring of, Zheng Chenggong blew the battle horn to expel He Yi and cross the sea to enter Taiwan. At that time, the timber producing areas in the middle and upper reaches of Jiulong River were occupied by the Qing army. Chen Ze led soldiers to cut down towering old trees and build ships in Longchiyan, and recruited more than 300 youths in Bai Jiao Village to form a loyal army. Children in Bai Jiao are familiar with water, and some of them have been to Taiwan Province Province when they were transported by sea. In March, Zheng Chenggong's division set out from Kinmen to make a crusade, and Chen Ze took the lead. Children in Bai Jiao braved the wind and waves and fought bravely. On March 11th of the lunar calendar, they first landed in Touqianliao, near Jiangjuntai Provincial Stream, but there were no casualties, led by acquaintances. Chen Ze assisted Zheng Chenggong and led 20,000 main troops to land at Luermen in Tainan and Heliao Port at the end of the northern line, and quickly surrounded Chibi City. In late April, Colonel Thomas Bader, the captain of the Dutch aggressor army, led 240 troops to attack Zheng Jun at the end of the northern line by warship. Zheng Chenggong sent Chen Ze to direct the campaign. On April 29th, the Dutch invaders occupied favorable terrain and launched an attack on Chen Ze's army with rapid-fire steel guns.

Chen Ze and the soldiers braved the enemy's gunfire, used bows and arrows and a homemade bomb barrel called the "national name bottle" to beat back the rampant attack of the Dutch invaders many times. He ordered his trusted generals to lead some soldiers to sneak around the abdomen of the Dutch army and attack from front to back, killing Colonel Bader and 180 people in one fell swoop. As the wind swept away the leaves, all the Dutch ships moored near Taijiang were sunk and burned to cut off the retreat of the invading army. On September 16, Dutch reinforcements arrived from Batavia (present-day Jakarta), Indonesia, under the command of Kayu. Chen Ze, a burly man, volunteered and led the army to bash the enemy head-on at the end of the northern line. In less than half a day, more than 65,438+000 Dutch captains, lieutenants and officers and men under the command of the flag were killed and many ships were sunk. The reinforcement commander Kayu fled back to the Dutch East India Company. The Dutch Governor, who was hiding in the city of Taiwan Province Province, saw that the tide was gone and had to surrender in Kaesong.

Unforgettable ancestral home

Immigrants build treasure island

On the seventh day after Zheng Jun recovered Taiwan Province Province, Chen Ze followed Zheng Chenggong to inspect all parts of Bao Dao, appeasing the Gaoshan, Han and other aborigines and encouraging them to develop agriculture and animal husbandry. In the 16th year of Li Yong in Nanming Dynasty (1662), Chen Ze was promoted to Youxianfeng Town and led his troops to camp in Yingpantian, north of Anping. He used the method of training soldiers in agriculture, and cultivated the land while training. "In the gap between farms, he trained in military affairs. With the police, he lost his troops to fight. Without the police, he lost his troops to plow the fields", which made the field open to me and the army had surplus food. Tainan therefore presents a thriving scene.

1662 Lunar March 1 1 day is the first anniversary of Bai Jiao's children's successful landing in Taiwan Province with Zheng. They brought the statues of "Bao Sheng Da Di" and "Er Di Da" from Tzu Chi Zu Palace in Bai Jiao before going to war, and sent them to the seaside where they landed a year ago to "go to Bai Jiao". Together, they faced the mainland and worshipped their hometown across the sea, which not only celebrated their victory in returning to Taiwan, but also pinned their homesickness. At that time, Zheng Chenggong happened to go to Tainan, and Chen Ze informed Guo Ye that the soldiers "went to Bai Jiao" to miss their relatives in the mainland. The king of Yanping County therefore learned about the homesickness of the soldiers, and immediately informed the headquarters to take the families of Zheng Jun soldiers back to Taiwan Province Province from the mainland as soon as possible. Hearing this news, the coastal people gathered in succession and crossed Taiwan Province Province to take part in the reclamation of Bao Dao. At this time, he also received his wife Guo, his younger brothers Chen Chou, Chen Gong and Chen's family to promote the advanced production technology of the mainland to Taiwan Province compatriots and develop the treasure island. Taiwan Province was donated by Chen Zejun to open up wasteland. People from Fujian and Zhejiang entered Taiwan Province in large numbers, and fireworks were interlinked. The land was finally opened up in Cheng Liangtian. After Zheng Chenggong's death, Chen Ze assisted Zheng Jing and made outstanding contributions to the development of Taiwan Province.

1674, San Francisco was changing, and Chen Ze and Zheng Jing led the troops across the sea to Xiamen. Soon, Chen Ze became ill and died in the same year. It was really "but he died before he could conquer, and the heroes cried on their coats." Chen Ze was buried in Caikeng Mountain in Xiamen after his death. His wife Guo died in Taiwan Province Province and was buried in Shuikangli outside Dadongmen, Tainan City. The two graves are divided into two sides of the Taiwan Strait, and the husband and wife still face each other across the sea. Chen Ze himself has no heir. He was adopted by Chen An, the eldest son of his brother Chen Hai, and has been a noble family for generations. Yingchuan Family Temple, with a long history, was honored as "Dejutang" by later generations. It is dedicated to Kaiji's ancestor, namely Chen Ze, the general who drove Holland back to Taiwan Province under Zheng Chenggong, a national hero of Yanping County.

166 1, Zheng Chenggong launched the battle to drive the Dutch back to Taiwan. At that time, Chen Ze was the former satrap of Xuanyi, general from the tiger. He commanded a fleet of more than 4000 soldiers and wiped out the elite Dutch troops in the northern avant-garde. With the cooperation of the navy, it sank and wounded all the warships of the Dutch army and made great achievements.

On the third day of the fourth lunar month, Zheng Jun sailed to Luermen, and large troops rushed into Taijiang by the tide. Push. According to Zheng Chenggong's deployment, the shovel fleet led by Chen Ze landed at Luermen, guarding the tail of the northern line, so as to disconnect the Dutch army from rescuing the red embedded ship. At this point, the Dutch Governor Yi Yi has sent Colonel Captain Tumas Peterl to lead hundreds of elite Dutch troops to sail at the end of the northern line in an attempt to intercept Chen Ze's troops from landing here. At the same time, Colonel aldo Pu was sent to pawn Dutch gunboats to prevent Zheng Jun's navy from entering Taijiang. Military emergency, Chen Ze calm, decisive command, pawn in the fastest speed at the end of the northern line. Smas Pate led the Dutch army to occupy the highlands. With the favorable terrain, the camera fired. Chen Ze's troops were prevented from advancing, and the soldiers launched multiple attacks on the positions of the Dutch army from the front and the side. A battle, destroy the Dutch army and seize the highlands. Peter the shredder was killed. The victory of the battle of Beijiwei dealt a heavy blow to the morale of the Dutch army, ensured the implementation of Zheng Chenggong's operational command and deployment, and cut off the enemy's aid. Then, Chen Ze contacted Shui Shuai and sent his fleet straight to Taijiang, sinking and injuring all the Dutch warships. The Dutch army led by aldo Pu, seeing that the main fleet had been completely annihilated, knew that the tide was over, turned around and fled, and withdrew a corpse. Due to the battle of Weitaijiang on the northern line, the amphibious forces of the Dutch army suffered heavy losses and the Dutch invaders were severely weakened. After nine months of breathing, they were forced to surrender. Taiwan Province province recovered.

After returning to Taiwan, Chen Ze assisted Zheng Chenggong to appease the people and reclaim wasteland, which was fruitful. The troops he led, "if there is a gap in farming, use military tactics; If there are policemen, they will fight with Hego; If there is no police, put it back to plow the fields, and "if the army has no wilderness, there will be surplus food." He also personally organized immigrants from his hometown to enter Taiwan Province. His wife Guo, his younger brother Chen Chou and Chen Gong all moved to Taiwan Province. After Zheng Chenggong died, Chen Ze continued to assist Zheng Jing. 1674, he went to Xiamen with Zheng Jing and died of illness. Buried in Caikeng Mountain in Xifan, Xiamen, the tomb still exists. His wife Guo was buried outside Dadongmen, Tainan City.

Descendants of Chen Ze's four brothers have propagated all over Taiwan Province Province for more than 300 years, mostly in Tainan City today, becoming the "Xialiao Sect" among many tribes of Chen in Taiwan Province Province. In Lane 7, Zhong Yi Road, Tainan City, there is a large-scale Yingzhou Family Temple-"Dejutang", whose predecessor was Chen Ze Head Office. Chen Ze had no children, and Chen An, the eldest son of his brother Chen Hai, adopted him. Since then, he has become his direct descendant. Is there Chen among the descendants? Huang Chen and Kun Zhong are both Gong Sheng of Zhuluo County, Wu Ju of Fengshan County of Chen Tingguang, and Yue Sheng of Changhua County of Chen Tingce. Among the "Xialiao School" Chen family, this branch is the most prosperous.
