Peng Yue (? ~ BC 197), the word zhong, was a vassal in the early years of the western Han dynasty. Liu Bang attacked Changyi from the north of Dangshan, and Peng Yue led the troops to help. Without capturing, Liu Bang led the army to the west, and put his troops in Juye Ze, and continued to take in Wei's scattered troops, which grew to more than 10,000 people. In the autumn of the first year of the Han Dynasty (206 BC), Liu Bang awarded the seal to General Peng Yue and ordered him to attack Chu. Peng Yue smashed the corner of Xiao Gong, the general of Chu. In the spring of the second year of the Han Dynasty (205 BC), Peng Yue led 30,000 soldiers to join Liu Bang, worshipped Wei and occupied Emperor Liang.
Liu Bang fled from Pengcheng to the west. Peng Yue did not occupy the city he had occupied, but let his soldiers live north of the Yellow River. In the third year of the Han Dynasty (204 BC), Peng Yue led an army to attack Chu, and the route for providing foodstuff was cut off. Liu Bang and Xiang Yu were at loggerheads in Xingyang, and Liu Bang lost. Peng Yue then captured Suiyang, Waihuang and other cities 17, forcing Xiang Yu to return. Peng Yuebing went north to Gucheng. Xiang Yu went south in summer, and Peng Yuefu captured more than 20 cities near Changyi, and got more than 100,000 tons of Chu grain (one ton is equivalent to ten buckets) to supply Liu Bang with military supplies.
In the fifth year of the Han Dynasty (202 BC), Liu Bangbing was defeated in Guling, and Peng Yue was sent to jointly attack Chu. He refused to send troops on the grounds that "the land of Wei was settled at the beginning, and Chu was still afraid." After listening to Liu Bang's advice, he was appointed as Wang Wei, and Peng Lingbing joined forces with Liu Bang to destroy Xiang Yu. Liu Bangli became the King of Liang and made Tao his capital.
In the Han Dynasty 10 (BC 197), Chen Yi rose up against Han in Dai Jun, and Liu Bang personally recruited Peng Yue. He said he was ill, so he only sent it to the Ministry. Liu bang was furious. Yang Zhen was a famous Confucian in the Eastern Han Dynasty, and now he is from Huayin County, Shaanxi Province. The students were afraid that the teacher was overworked, so they secretly helped him plant them. When he found out, he lost his temper and pulled out his own plant. The students had to leave him. I've been a satrap for many years, but in the end I'm as clean as a cucumber. His descendants, like him, eat simple food and wear rough clothes. Many old friends advised him to buy some industries for future generations. He always smiled and said, "Isn't this legacy enough for my descendants to be called descendants of honest officials?" At the age of fifty, Yang Zhen made a secretariat of Jingzhou. Time is not long, and transferred to Donglai satrap. He was transferred to Donglai. One day, he passed by Changyi, saw Changyi was a bustling place, and stayed in an inn. Upon inquiry, it is not far from Donglai. I plan to go to work for a long time, and I don't want to leave in a hurry. I also heard that the magistrate of Changyi County, surnamed Wang Mingmi, is my own student, so I decided to stay and rest for a few days to see Jinshan. Secondly, better understand Wang Mi's talent, personality and achievements. In addition, Wang Mi, the magistrate of Changyi County, is Yang Zhen's favorite pupil. This man is excellent in character and knowledge, and he has great prestige as an official. He knew for a long time that the teacher was an official in Jingzhou, but he was unable to visit because of his official duties and long journey. He can only express his ideas by frequent correspondence. Now I heard that the teacher came from Jingzhou, which is far away, but he was so happy. So I went to the inn, took the teacher to the county government, and had three meals a day, good wine and good food, and warm hospitality. Seeing the date of appointment approaching, Yang Zhen is determined to start tomorrow. In order to repay the teacher's kindness, Wang Mi came to Yang Zhen's residence that night with ten catties of gold in his hand, saying, "Every year, peaches and plums are fragrant, and the teacher taught them, which will never be forgotten. This is a little gift from the students. Please accept it. " Yang Zhen got up and said unhappily, "I know who you are. Why don't you know me? " Wang Mi said, "Teacher, this gold is a student's salary, not the income from corruption and bribery, but is specially used to honor teachers. Besides, no one knows it's late at night. Why are you so serious? " Yang Zhen said seriously, "You are from heaven, and God knows; Come up to the ground and know clearly; You came with gold, you know; You gave me gold, I know. Since heaven knows the earth, you know me, how can you say that no one knows? You are the head of a county, and you should be a teacher in every move. You should think of the people of the county wholeheartedly and adhere to the three-foot method. Don't waste the three-foot method and be greedy for a penny. Worthless! " Then, Yang Zhen told Wang Mi how to serve the people. Deeply moved, Wang Mi bowed to the teacher and said with shame, "The students will never forget the teacher's teachings." Through the example of Yang Zhen, Wang Mi deeply understood how to be an official, how to serve the people and how to be a man. He is more diligent, loves the people and has integrity. People in Changyi County praised Wang Mi as a good county magistrate.
In order to commemorate the death of Yang Zhen, the people of Changyi built the "Four Knowing Hall" and the Yang Zhen Temple and Memorial Tower. Later, the "Yang Zhen Ci Jin Monument" was established. Juye County Records also included the deeds of Yang Zhen's Ci Jin. Later generations have poems to praise:
