When Wang Nian was young, his father worked in Beijing and Han for a long time, so his childhood was spent in Kaifeng under the care of his grandmother. 16 years old, went to Wuhan with his father. He joined the army after graduating from high school. 1in March, 974, he entered an air force junior aviation school in Baoding and became an enviable "favored son" among his peers. After receiving primary aviation school training, he entered an air force flight school in the south, was assigned to a certain department of HNA after graduation, and was appointed as the squadron leader after serving for several years. It is worth noting that during his study in the aviation school, he turned out to be an old classmate of Wu Ronggen, who defected to Taiwan Province Province on June 1982, while Wu Ronggen had fled Taiwan Province four months before his defection.
Wang was married on 1980 before he defected, and the two places separated after marriage. Therefore, Wang complains about the one-month family leave system every year. Similar leave system not only greatly exceeded the leave standard of ordinary national public officials at that time, but also was the common practice of soldiers in various countries. But Wang thinks this system is a kind of so-called "suppression of human nature"
Looking back at Wang's resume, I think there are two points worth noting: first, from his simple study experience, the state and the army undoubtedly injected more efforts into him, and his military experience compared with his peers also reflected the superior position of many cadres' children at that time; Secondly, both his grandfather and father suffered considerable impacts during the Cultural Revolution, which also showed the potential and long-term impact of the Cultural Revolution on the army.
