Investigation on the School History of Jieyang Overseas Chinese Middle School
During the period of 1957, Mr. Zhu Kun, Mr. Wei Yilong and Mr. Chen Lirong, Cambodian overseas Chinese, first donated money to build 12 bungalow classrooms, and then enrolled four freshman classes in senior high schools and junior high schools, with a total of more than 400 students. He Xiangning, the former chairman of the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese (the wife of Liao, the left leader of the Kuomintang), was asked to write the name of the school.

Under the correct leadership and care of the party and government at all levels, overseas Chinese in Cambodia donated money again on 1959, and the Cambodia building (in front of the school gate) was built. Then, with the support of overseas Chinese in Cambodia, Thailand and Singapore, the school auditorium was built (later converted into a training hall). Schools have begun to take shape. After the Cultural Revolution, in February 1979, the school was renamed (Jieyang Huaqiao Middle School), and Liao Chengzhi, the former vice chairman of the National People's Congress (son of He Xiangning), personally wrote the name of the school (now the name of the Cambodian Chinese Building).

With the reform and opening up in China and the implementation of a series of overseas Chinese policies, the enthusiasm of overseas Chinese to donate money to build schools and hold education is rising again.

1980, Mr. Xu Chengfa, an overseas Chinese in Singapore, devoted himself to promoting his studies and donated the physical and chemical building (west of Cambodia building);

1985, at the initiative of Mr. Lu Chugao, an overseas Chinese in Thailand, overseas Chinese living in Thailand donated money to build Taihua Building. The school has gradually developed into a senior middle school with a certain scale and teaching conditions.

Under the leadership of the party and the government, the school has strengthened ideological education and the teaching quality has been continuously improved. After the national college entrance examination system was restored, the number of finalists participating in the college entrance examination increased year by year. School physical education ranks among the best in Jieyang middle schools, and students' physical quality has been greatly improved. The school's male and female sports teams have won the 1 award for many times in competitions at all levels, which has been recognized by all walks of life.
