The Yellow River enters Shandong from Dongming County of Heze City, flows through 25 counties (cities, districts) in 9 cities of Heze, Jining, Tai 'an, Liaocheng, Jinan, Dezhou, Binzhou, Zibo and Dongying, and enters the sea in Hekou District of Dongying City. The total length of rivers in China is 628 kilometers, and the basin area is 6.5438+0.83 million square kilometers.
Jinan, Zibo, Jining, Tai 'an and Liaocheng along Huangjiu City in Shandong Province have successively won the title of "National Forest City", while Binzhou City and Heze City are in full swing. Dongying successfully ranks among the first batch of "international wetland cities" in the world.

In 20 17, Heze declared to establish a national forest city, and the prelude of large-scale land greening was opened. The city vigorously promotes key projects such as ecological protection forest belt around the city, road water system greening, rural greening and beautification, accelerates the development of forestry industry and actively promotes ecological culture. Dongying is a wetland city. The total wetland area in the city is 4567 square kilometers, accounting for 1/4 of the total wetland area in the province, and the wetland rate is as high as 4 1.58%. Different from other estuarine wetlands, the Yellow River Estuary Delta has three ecosystems: wetland, ocean and forest. 1June 1992, Dongying established the Yellow River Delta National Nature Reserve with a total area of153,000 hectares. This is the most complete, broadest and youngest wetland ecosystem in the warm temperate zone of China.
