It has been nearly a hundred years since Sanzhou Black Goose was raised in Gaoming District. It is an excellent local goose breed formed by farmers in Gaoming District after long-term cultivation. It originated in Sanzhou District and is mainly raised in Sanzhou, Renhe, Xi 'an, Fuwan, Mingcheng and other places. At first, feeding was mainly self-sufficient, and every household would raise it. Every Chinese New Year holiday, Sanzhou Black Goose is a necessary meat for people. In the early 1990s, under the leadership of Gaoming District Food Import and Export Corporation, Sanzhou Black Goose began to export to Hong Kong and Macao, which was welcomed by local consumers. Since then, Sanzhou Black Goose has gradually become a well-known product in Gaoming District and even Guangdong Province. In the mid-1990s, due to the influence of the market and its own factors, the development of Sanzhou Black Goose was once in a downturn, and its breeds were constantly degraded. From 65438 to 0995, Gaoming District Animal Husbandry Center took the lead in purifying and rejuvenating Sanzhou Black Goose. During the period of 1998, under the drive of two large goose farms, namely, ChuXingang Goose Farm and Renhe Haiji Goose Industry Co., Ltd., the fine varieties of Sanzhou Black Goose were revitalized again, forming an breeding area and Sanzhou and Renhe breeding areas, and Sanzhou Black Goose showed a good momentum of booming production and sales.
