Professor Nanjing University and Academician Feng Duan of Chinese Academy of Sciences were employed as honorary professors of Central South University, and Professor Jin Xiaofeng and Professor Gong of Fudan University were employed as part-time professors of our school. Vice President Chen Qiyuan attended the appointment ceremony and presented a letter of appointment to Academician Feng Duan.
The appointment ceremony of honorary adjunct professor of Central South University was held in the conference room of Physics College. The appointment ceremony was presided over by Tang Zhongyang, Vice Minister of Personnel. Yang Bingchu, Dean of the School of Physics, introduced the resumes of Academician Feng Duan, Professor Jin Xiaofeng and Professor Gong at the appointment ceremony. Vice President Chen Qiyuan read out the appointment decision and presented letters of appointment to Academician Feng Duan.
Academician Feng Duan delivered a speech after receiving the letter of appointment. He briefly reviewed his study, teaching and scientific research, encouraged young teachers and students to study hard and make greater contributions to the cause of science and education in the motherland, and wished Central South University better and better.
Responsible persons of the school office, personnel department, Institute of Physics and other related units, as well as teachers' representatives from the Institute of Physics attended the appointment ceremony.
In the front building of Shenghua Building 10 1 room, Academician Feng Duan and Professor Jin Xiaofeng gave wonderful lectures on "The Past, Present and Future of Physics" and "Why Pomo Alloy is Soft Magnetic Material" respectively.
