Li Mao's resume.
Li Mao, 1958 was born in Wenzhou, Zhejiang, a first-class badminton player in China, and later served as the head coach of the China badminton team. Dong Jiong, Sun Jun and Chen Gang were excellent when they coached in Li Mao. Li Mao left the national team at the end of 1998. In September of the following year, at the invitation of the Korean Badminton Association, Li Mao began to serve as the men's singles coach of the Korean team.

After coaching in Li Mao, in the Tang Cup in 2000, two little-known Korean teenagers, Song Chengmo and Li Xuanyi, repeatedly defeated the strong players. In the following years, Li Xuanyi has been the main opponent of China men's singles. Three years later, he defeated Chen Hong in the final of the Soviet Cup, which made great contributions to the Korean team's regaining the lost 10 championship trophy. Song Seung Heon won the second place in Athens.

After the Athens Olympic Games, Malaysians snatched "hot goods" from Koreans. Under the guidance of Li Mao, Li Zongwei, the first Malaysian men's singles player, gradually moved from a first-class player to a top player, becoming a badminton superstar like Taufik and Dānlín, and once ranked first in the world.

At the beginning of 2006, Li Mao returned to South Korea as the head coach of the national singles team. In the 2007 China Open, Sung Hwan Park eliminated the popular Dānlín in the first round, which caused a sensation. His two disciples (Li Xuanyi of South Korea and Li Zongwei of Malaysia) joined hands in the first World Cup finals in Malaysia in 2008.

20 10 Uber Cup Li Mao, as the head coach of Korean men's and women's singles, led the Korean team to the final and beat China with a total score of 3- 1, while the Korean women's team won the Uber Cup for the first time in history.
