20 13 Work Summary from March to April

I. Preface:
Since the beginning of the second half of the 20 13 school year, under the guidance of Professor Li Huaxi and the correct leadership of Manhattan cadres, the English Research Association of Manhattan has actively carried out various academic activities with the aim of "self-help, helping others and helping each other" and academic exchange as the work center, and has achieved certain results. The work is summarized as follows:
Second, the work situation:
On March 4th, 1, Manhattan (Xie Jiandong and Xie Beibei) organized a special activity on how to improve oral English with the support of Professor Hormen Lee, who gave a lecture. In the early stage of the event, Manhattan actively carried out publicity work, including poster publicity, Weibo publicity and the establishment of publicity sites.
2. On March 18, at the suggestion of Hormen Lee, Manhattan launched a recruitment campaign for the new semester, with the aim of "developing ourselves and helping more students learn English". On the day of recruitment, Manhattan set up registration points beside the school road in the first canteen and the school road in the second teaching building respectively.
On March 2 1 day, Manhattan (and Zhu) organized a foreign language film appreciation activity. Watching foreign language movies can not only improve students' English listening and oral knowledge, but also enhance their understanding of foreign cultures.
4. On March 28th, a "virtual election of cadres" meeting was held in Manhattan, and the group outing activities in May were confirmed at the Manhattan meeting of the meeting.
On April 5 1 1, at the invitation of Guangye reporter station, he participated in its fourth anniversary party in Manhattan and starred in a song and dance program called "Born Perfect", which was well received by the audience present.
On April 6 18, Manhattan (Wei Xiaoyu, * * *) organized an English situational dialogue.
Three. Shortcomings and experiences
1. During the first activity this semester, we met with a temporary emergency. Due to force majeure, our Manhattan members were alert, moved the venue to a nearby classroom, and made a good notice to make the activity go smoothly.
2. By holding a "virtual cadre campaign" meeting, Manhattan cadres have a clearer understanding of the future development trend of officers and personnel, which is conducive to the overall planning of Manhattan's future development. At the same time, through this meeting, officers have more clearly defined their goals and corrected their attitudes.
3. My Manhattan members not only showed their vitality and passion to foreign teachers and students, but also improved my Manhattan's popularity and influence on campus in the performance of the fourth anniversary party of the reporter station.
Due to the lack of daily publicity in Manhattan, the recruitment of new employees was not considered enough, and the result was lower than expected.
Due to the lack of academic and exciting parts in my daily work in Manhattan and the persistent attitude of members to English learning, the number of participants in various activities in Manhattan has gone from bad to worse.
Fourth, the work plan for the second half of the semester
In mid-May, 1 organized a group outing in Manhattan to enhance the emotional exchange among members.
2. Organize various periodical activities on time, and pay more attention to the quality and academic nature of the activities.
3. In late June, organize the transition of Manhattan and hold a meeting of new cadres.
